Glenda Gaspard oh wow congratulations Glenda, I'm so pleased this was useful. Such an awesome achievement, much love 💜 x
Hey does the art need to be super good or the progession Matter for A grade?
the art needs to be of a particular standard as does you showing development and the way you think things through.
I'm starting A level art tomorrow and this has made me feel reassured, thank you 💞
how is it going? im taking it next year and am interested to see how others find it x

+Tania Machado No worries, thanks so for suggesting it! Feel free to get in touch if you have anymore queries. Much love 😊 xx
great attention to detail
Hi again Julian Edele is very good nut looking at history of other architects and their portfolio also helps a level art is definitely an advantage and visiting art galleries la corbusior he was great in his day and David Hughes the professor of African architectural influence into Europe your
Hi,thank you so much for the video it was really helpful.I also want to take A level art(i am currently in year 11)and i want to do architecture, however i'm not sure how to balance it with the other subjects i want to take which is maths and chemistry (the new A level only requires 3 subjects).Do you have any advice for me?Any advice will will be appreciated thank you
Thanks for watching! I think it should balance just fine, it does require a lot of practical input as it's usually mostly coursework. But I don't think this should be an issue. If you genuinely enjoy doing art I don't see why you shouldn't keep at it, and so doing art it means you're constantly producing work that could be used for your portfolio whereas if you didn't you;d have to make a conscious effort to produce work in your own time. Much love, feel free to hit me up if you've any more questions :) xx
Hannah Asante I'm doing my first year at college ATM and I took maths chemistry and art and I also want to do architecture u will really enjoy them and u find that art is not as time consuming as u would think
hi sorry i am in year 12 doing the same subjects as you how did you find it doing architecture and these subjects since i aim to do the same
This video is really useful!! I want to do architecture in the future too so if you have any tips to help me explore that field and get experience please let me know
I'm glad you found it helpful. Would you like me to do a video on it or would you like to email me specific questions? I don't mind either way, much love 😊 xx
I would really appreciate if you could make a video as you could explain in a much better way.. I'd like to know about the workshops, what basics you need to know, how good you have to be at art, just everything basically....
So sorry I haven't replied sooner! I've got a back log on videos to put up but I'll film a 'how I got into architecture school' video as well as updates on the years 1 + 2 I've completed so you can get an idea of what you might be getting into. Does that sound good? xx
Hello again, I filmed the video and it's live now if you wanted to watch it: ruclips.net/video/WPpDJQROVcU/видео.html much love 🙂 x
Im doing Alevel art in september, our highschool for gcse made A2 boards where we would mount our work rather than have a sketchbook. Do you think thatll put me at a lil disadvantage as ive never structured it that way (im predicted grade 9 and my last moderation before lockdown got full marks on all the Assesment objectives)
hello, that's absolutely fine I don't think that will put you at a disadvantage at all. in fact it might make the process of getting a portfolio together for applications easier. good luck and we'll done on that predicted grade! much love 😊 x
Hi Margaret what subjects did you take for A-Levels?
Boombaoppaya _ Hiya I took Fine Art, French, History and then English Literature at AS. Much love 😊 x
Margaret Belle thank you for answering my question! I'm planning to also do architecture and I thought you had to have maths and physics to apply to unis???
I was wondering is the layout of the sketchbook similar to the Alevel sketchbooks?x
Hi George I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Unlike sketchbooks for personal use there's usually some key things and an order that is preferred only so you can communicate your development clearly to the examiner. But I think this varies depending on schools and teachers themselves. Hope that helps of not do let me know! Much love 😊 xx
+Margaret Belle sorry.... I meant are the sketchbooks in a level like Gcse; for instance do we have to do artist research first... then primary... and then secondary and then finally designs.. thanksx
George Wainwright that's fine! it's similar but a bit different. We would be a bit more free with the subject matter and begin with brainstorming around the theme then narrowing down ideas. Then research that doesn't necessarily have to link with and artist but that's important too. Independent primary research is important like going to exhibitions, doing photoshoots etc. Then the artists and experimentation comes in informed by all the sophisticated research to help develop your work to the final piece. Hope that makes sense. The idea is to add a level of finesse, sophistication and more credibility to the work you produce.
was ur exam board cie?
I'm not sure what you mean by 'cie' but I'm pretty sure mine was Edexcel. Much love 😊 x
i’m not good at painting and idk what to do i’m in year 12 rn help 😭😭 also thanks for video
because we are in quarantine, do you have any paint with you if you do try painting everyday that's how i improved cuz I am currently in year 11 and in year 10 I wasn't great at painting. I used use water to blend the acrylic when you shouldn't use water as it gets quite hmm... how do I explain it like it becomes rough and I still am very bad at watercolour even my art teacher says so that's why she says to me to avoid watercolours and so throughout the year when I was in year 10 I found that I was good at acrylic and oil paint so these are my top picks when it comes to painting. Take this quarantine to improve your painting skills, watch artists paint and see how they hold their brushes and their strokes.
This is Humaira ohh thanksssss
