    I haven't done yoga in a hot minute, and I have been feeling so stressed and depressed lately. I never realized how much yoga helps me until I opened myself back up to yoga through THIS video. I feel more relaxed and at peace with myself than I have in about a year. Thank you so much.

    As a former 3rd dan black belt who is getting back into martial arts I find your yoga practices to be challenging but not discouraging if there is something I cannot do. My flexibility has increased slightly since getting back into the swing of things only two weeks ago. I do a lot of the flexability practices because I was never flexible. Thank you so much for all you do. In the tradition of traditional Japanese Karate OSU!

    Candace, I love your videos so much. I used to be so flexible and a lot of this was easy for me. Now I find I have raised two children and, in my 50s, a lot of that flexibility is gone. Luckily you provide workouts for all levels and I am truly enjoying my practice, remembering and savoring the calm and peace yoga brings.

      No, it's the same for me; the video, computer and system volumes are up all the way. At 100% it's clear enough, but definitely not loud enough to be heard at a distance in a large room without somehow downloading the video and messing with volume amping.

    I know this is an older video but I am new to yoga so I have been watching your videos a lot lately. im wondering,though, what lacing your fingers the way that feels weird does?

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  8 лет назад

      It's just to be "even" on both sides. For example, if you normally kick up into handstand with your right leg, it's good to practice kicking up with your left, just to make sure you're staying "even" with everything. Same with the interlace of the fingers. You always just want to be sure you're paying attention to both sides of things.

    First time I watched one of your videos, at the 5min break:
    1 min
    Is my phone still on?
    2 min singing with the song in my head🎶
    3 min
    Okay 3 sec and the break is finished
    1
    2
    3
    *opens eyes*
    Oh shit, she is still sleeping!
    4 min
    Yawwnnn
    5 min
    Waaah!
    Suddenly someone wakes me up from my nice dreams

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  7 лет назад

      haha, the 5 min break is called savasana and it's at the end of any yoga class if you attend one at a studio. it's essentially a time to just totally relax - think of it as a transition period between yoga class and the "real world." :)

      It is a key when being a yogee to admit when something is wrong. It is not ever intention for a mistake, but admit them. We are all human and you need to learn to take constructive feedback if your videos are undesirable. I could not complain about alot of videos, but you need feeback. It is okay!

    Dear Candace, I have no particular knee issues, but this video has given me 3 days of knee pain in one knee, after both supporting knees made a grinding sound to go into the standing splits. I've done yoga for 2.5 years so I'm not inexperienced and will avoid a painful pose where I can, but when it's a sudden pain in a supporting knee it's unavoidable. While it's been useful for me to learn I can't do this sequence safely, I do wonder whether there are safer ways to make the transition on your video? Going to apply ice now...

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  5 лет назад +1

      I'm sorry to hear you've been experiencing some knee pain. I would rest, and if you try it again in the future, try to avoid going as deep into the standing splits by keeping a micro bend in the standing leg. I'll be mindful of transitions in the future and offer some alternative options for those who need them
