If the jab hits, the super comes out automatically.

Not quite automatically.
But if you look carefully, you’ll notice how he manages tu crouch in some instances while whiffing the jab. That is because while buffering the super, you might get that animation.
That would’ve also been the case if the jab would hit on block, super would’ve come out either way.

Yeah basically hitbox. He wouldn't be able to do it if the other guy didn't let his guard down
Not necessarily a hitbox. He was just buffering the movement all the way.
Regardless of hit hitting on block it would’ve come out either way.
This can be done on any controller.
