As a lifelong Republican, I can’t understand the short-sightedness of the party in its reluctance to support Ukraine over Russia. Does anyone in congress have a grasp of geopolitics or recent history? Here we have a chance to help Ukraine defeat and weaken one of the West’s greatest adversaries over the last century without directly putting American soldier’s lives at risk. If Putin prevails, it will be terrible for the West for decades to come, and there’s a good chance it emboldens China to make moves of its own. It just kills me to think the party of Reagan who was key in the downfall of the Soviet Union is now willing to cower to Russia.

The fact that the administration is giving practically unlimited money to Ukraine, while overseeing the most poorest border in the history of our country is a sin against American values and constitutional obligations. Out of the box? Controlling a country’s border is the only way to protect its sovereignty. Good grief this isn’t rocket science. There is absolutely no reason this hasn’t been put in check at the Southern Border and this administration should be held accountable. I’ve been there working down near the border for years now and it is completely out of control compared to what I’d seen before Biden came into office. Not comparable in any way.

Being a moderate conservative means I’m an independent. Which also means I don’t trust either party to do what’s needed Or what’s good for our country.
1-We need to protect our own borders. 11 million known illegal aliens are in our country now, no one knows how many are unknown.
2- we need to help our citizens in need and not put illegal aliens before our own citizens.
3- we need to be respectful of others borders, and stop encroaching upon them. It’s what we do though.
4-support Israel in defending their self, but should not support the genocide of the Palestinians.
5- we shouldn’t occupy other countries and we do, they’re countless.
6- to have a strong military, but we surely don’t need 900 bases across the globe. Who are we trying to protect?
7-If we really don’t want to do business with China just get out. We do need them as they do need us.
8- 600,000-700,000 dead Ukrainian soldiers, not 300,000. A whole generation has been lost. Zelenskyy is a criminal and should resign immediately. Settle with Russia before you do lose the entire country. Remain neutral as they should have before the war. NATO, EU, WEF, US, and UK are all to blame for this chaos in Ukraine. Huge losses on both sides and for what?

NATO only has 4,000 people working for it, VERY SMALL, it is just an organization that helps armies in Europe work together to defend Europe, it is not some massive imaginary occupying force, Russian propaganda is spreading endless lies. Russia on purpose makes it sound like NATO is some army it is NOT an army it is just a coordination organization. It is American solders guarding Poland, and British and German forces guarding other countries, they all work together with the help of NATO to organize it. Here is the problem, IF Ukraine falls, then Russia is on the border of Romania and Hungary now we need to send 100,000 US solders to guard each of the countries, why not just pay and help Ukraine? Much smarter move.
