When i used to play bedwars i always wandered what secret techniques the good players were hiding when they would kick my ass. This video answeres those questions
Amazing explanation. Love how you show multiple clips, proving it's not a one time random working technique, as well as slow down clips that allow to easily to keep track.
Explanation of damage overriding (warning: its hella long): whatever the highest damage source, a player receives during their invincibility time is the damage they take. For example if you punch a zombie, then before the red invincibility time runs out, you hit the zombie with a sword, then the sword will override the punch and do a ton more damage This fact is super useful for a couple reasons 1) like shown in the video if your opponent took fall damage and their invincibility frames are about to run out, you can override the fall damage and get one crit right in the last second before their invincibility frame runs out, then because their invincibility frames run out, you can immediately get a second crit while falling. 2) You can attack someone using a kb stick dealing a ton of kb, then after you attack them, while they are still invincible, switch over to your sword and override the normal kb stick / punch damage. This way you do both the knockback of a kb stick and the damage of a sword. Those are the most useful cases but there are just a few more miscellaneous ones: 1. Spamming jump with a head hitter above you to always either get crits or override normal hits with crits 2. If you opponent blocked their sword for your original hit to reduce the damage you did, you can override that hit with a normal hit once they stop blocking their sword 3. Hit someone with your fist while invis, then move out of the way of where your opponent thinks you will be and hit them with your sword during their invincibility frames. Your sword hit won't do kb but itll override the damage of the fist hit and they'll lose health seemingly out of nowhere.
Yeah I wanted to cover the punch example and I even had clips recorded, but it didn't really matter as much for bedwars IS WHAT I THOUGHT. But that example with the fist and sword while invis is actually so crazy bro I'm 100% going to use that ❤
Just a clarification: for the first use where you get two crits in one fall by overriding the very end of the opponent's damage frames (a "double crit"), those original damage frames don't necessarily need to come from the opponent taking fall damage. The opponent could have been rodded, bowed, hit by a silverfish, hit by a bridge egg, be on fire, or even just gotten hit normally and you just time when you jump to the end of the i-frames (this is what banjee shows in the single player world on the zombie) and it works the same.
@@fireballman31 Yep. I picked fall damage since it's quite common on bedwars with hypixel's goofy knockback calculation, and then with a specified damage type I can teach a technique, whereas teaching it for any damage type is teaching a mechanic :)
In fact jump spacing, although most people dont do it every hit, is one of the best ways to maintain a combo on hypixel, which has kb which is harder than static kb to hold a combo. I often use this to get 10+ combos on hyp with 200 ms, timing it when my opponent flys a little further than ideal. I see a lot of ranked players using this as well

First I had mixed feelings about these tips being on youtube, since I am a bit concerned about everyone using them xD (because i may or may not have been -ab-using one or two). On the other hand, many of the tips mentioned in the video were ones ive never thought of, they were so creative and fun to watch! tysm for the vid! 2 TIPSY
Glad you liked it! I wouldn't worry that much about them being used by all of your opponents, the other vid has 300,000 views and I still don't see my opponents using them super often against me :)

the jump thingy is what I used unintentially whenever I play 1.8, it just feels right to just spam hits and start p/critting or just critting to get more dmg in while holding small comboes

I think you're exactly spot on about the conscious thing :) and I don't know how to teach drag clicking tbh, it's different for every person, you just gotta try tons of different textures/tapes and amounts of force till you find the right one

Yeah those are definitely a few of the best tips, glad you liked them! :) As of 2024 I use different shaders which do make the pack look a bit better which is probably what you're noticing, but also my new night sky illuminates it in a different way. I'll definitely be releasing the sky at some point With 4 diamonds you should definitely get sharp. I usually buy sharp over prot 1 even I only play fast iron usually lol, with slow iron I basically just buy blocks cuz im so poor lmao

Bridge player here, you can do crit overriding with all sorts of things like you mentioned, including rods and bows. So for bridge u can do a floppy arrow, then get a free double hit almost, (one hit overriding the bowhit, and the other the hit you get from the combo) this shreds their health. Same goes for a rod. Or a bridge egg, snowball, etc…
Amazing video but wanted to know if you can late select with 120+ ms. Been playing with hit selecting for a while against low ms but this looks really interesting
To be honest I don't know. For late selecting I only know how it works with my ping, but I'd assume its harder on high ping, cuz you have to hit them way earlier than you want it to register...

Those fireball 2 pillar jumps were really insane, ill def give this a shot. By the way, idk if this happens to other people but from my experience, god method on 150+ ping doesnt work, but instead gives you hit reg, and sometimes the opponent can hit you though the pillar. also will you give me the sky overlays if i say 2tipsy?? (especially 0:08 and 6:08, they look sick)
Yeah the fb 2 pillar is in my opinion the strongest tech in bedwars currently, definitely try it :) And yes the timing is VERY different on high ping for god method but I'm not qualified to try and teach it for anything other than medium/low ping The new sky overlays were actually all made by me so I'm glad you like them! I'll be releasing them soon-ish for 10k subs :)

For your “late selecting” it’s pretty commonly used in bridge and we call it hit selecting and there’s a variant called Latvian where you block your sword on the first hit so you take less damage as well
Late selecting is different than hit selecting but yeah I know what you mean with the latvian, I can long block hit but haven't incorporated latvian yet. Kinda hard in bedwars when the damage you take is so variable with armor, weapons, dia upgrades etc :)

lil late but some ways to practice the 3rd one imo is playing any type of rod pvp gamemode. the concept is really similar to a rod trick and once u get used to timing, it becomes easier to identify when the invincibility period is. it gets harder to do on high ping tho (at least for me, as i play on 200 ms but hav also played on 100 ms before)

no its not, the best way to space on hypixel is out of tick hits but its hard to master

Those fireball 2 pillar jumps were really insane, ill def give this a shot.
By the way, idk if this happens to other people but from my experience, god method on 150+ ping doesnt work, but instead gives you hit reg, and sometimes the opponent can hit you though the pillar.
also will you give me the sky overlays if i say 2tipsy??
(especially 0:08 and 6:08, they look sick)
Yeah the fb 2 pillar is in my opinion the strongest tech in bedwars currently, definitely try it :)
And yes the timing is VERY different on high ping for god method but I'm not qualified to try and teach it for anything other than medium/low ping

@@Tealen Using a program called "cubethesphere" that turns flat images into boxes, and then doing some blending magic to flow it all into one

For your “late selecting” it’s pretty commonly used in bridge and we call it hit selecting and there’s a variant called Latvian where you block your sword on the first hit so you take less damage as well
Late selecting is different than hit selecting but yeah I know what you mean with the latvian, I can long block hit but haven't incorporated latvian yet. Kinda hard in bedwars when the damage you take is so variable with armor, weapons, dia upgrades etc :)

Block placement is hard against good players but PvP helps a lot especially if it’s on flat ground were you can’t place blocks sir
lil late but some ways to practice the 3rd one imo is playing any type of rod pvp gamemode. the concept is really similar to a rod trick and once u get used to timing, it becomes easier to identify when the invincibility period is. it gets harder to do on high ping tho (at least for me, as i play on 200 ms but hav also played on 100 ms before)
