  • People with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are living longer thanks to the introduction of antiretroviral therapy. However, research has found that those living with HIV are at an increased risk for heart disease even if they are well-treated on antiretroviral therapies.
In this presentation from January 19, 2022, Suman Srinivasa, MD, MS, Allie Walpert, MSN, FNP-BC, and Grace Shen, BS with the MGH Metabolism Unit provide a general overview of heart disease and how it relates to those living with HIV.
