- In this video from the 2021 Auburn Americana event held in Auburn IN I found this very cool 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS. The car has been owned by JR since He was in High School back in 1970 and has always dreamed of turning it into a race car that could be driven on the street...He finally achieved his dream...Covered in a color called Too Blue that it wears well...The body is mostly stock, a 69 Nova was cool back in the day...You don't have to make many changes to them....JR removed the door handles but left the mirrors and emblems. The interior is all custom and done to complement the car...So it's all business in there...Wheels are always a personal choice and no one set will please everyone..With a pro street style...The rear wheels will be big and the fronts little....The style of the wheel race looking and that's what JR has here...Under the custom hood is a Chevrolet 532 Big Block 136 mm Procharger making around 1300 Horsepower...Has a tube chassis and all the latest to go with it...The 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS was a cool car from the factory...JR has made His just a little cooler...Check it out!!

Brings back memories...sort of. I too, owned a ‘69 Nova SS in a very similar blue with painted white top. Except mine had a 307 v8 with three on the tree...power steering but no factory a/c....back in ‘76-78. I did have factory corvette steelies 8.5” x 15” and g60’s on it...all show and no go. I had big plans for a swap...but got married and priorities changed for awhile. Sold it and bought a brand new ‘79 el Camino. Thanks for what you do Scottie!
You're welcome Brother...Glad You enjoy it!!
A beautiful car, when cars where cars
Right on....Thanks for checking it out!!

Good looking '69, looks FAST just sitting there!!
Yes it does....I have a feeling it will be fast when it's moving too...lol
Scottie, I’m a fan of these ‘69-‘72 Novas. This is one very cool build. There’s nothing on this car I don’t like. Wow a bump in the road could destroy the chin spoiler. Very cool he drives it .
Weird you posted a Nova this week. Last week in front of my Neighbour’s was a Green Nova SS (same era), the engine plate said 396. On the side of the real Cowl Induction Hood it said Rat SS, so did the License Plate. I’m guessing it had a 427 Rat Motor in it. (At least I think that’s what the Rat Motor was back in the day).
Right on...Glad I was on time with it Brother!!
No Bud the Rat Motor was a 454 in the Vettes and Chevelle
@@ScottieDTV It’s a very cool build.
@@keithmaxwell2169 Thank You!! Yes but the guy that owns the Nova I saw Friday at my Neighbour’s has a Rat Motor which as you say is a 454 then that Car definitely pounds the pavement.
@@HARMARSCH2 the Rat Motor was 450hp Stock look up LS 454 Chevy
