unique car, i agree with the full interior. Ive had hondas for years and im 35...and i cant stand when people gut everything. I think it just makes it look and feel like a crappier car all around and i feel like it destroys and just takes away one more complete good working older honda off the road.
I regret pulling the ac on my del sol. But I don't regret pulling the interior. It was mint and now in storage. I have a very clean but not mint interior that can go in if I ever want to put it back in. I think gutted looks good. But at the same time yes it does suck to take one more out of the pool of full interior classic Hondas. I decided a long time ago I won't do it again unless it's already clapped out.
@@carvedfromlife8949 I know I'm trying to sell a full interior swapped prelude with no luck. And I keep getting lowballed for that very reason they think its clapped out.
I like the lost weight. But have been trying to formulate how I can make it look better but with better weight in mind as 5 layers of shit isn't really it.
My goals have been to just have fun for the smallest amount of money and have at least a slight bit of competence, And weight reduction is a really cost effective way to make better use of the power you already have and make it feel like alot more.
JR is a cool guy. I actually purchased his civics old ID1000cc injectors for my 560whp Turbo J35a7 Swapped 06' Accord Coupe from him. We operate a Honda Jseries Performance Parts company (HalferLand Performance) and he was still humble, great to chat with...unlike some other knowledgeable Jseries people. Always loved you RL power train Civic. And I hear you on the AC PITA...I'm having a tough time just getting our gutted Accord AC/Heater out of the car, let alone installed 😂 BTW our setup made 550whp on just 8psi... amazingly efficient (not normal) but shows what these J's engines can do. We have dynos and everything on our page/channel. We run a Turbonetics Tseries Billet Compressor wheel 69/68 WITH Journal Bearings which most say won't spool and you need ball bearings...well we see boost by 3000rpm and full boost by 4200rpm 😁 Street Car Takeover I turned her up to 12psi (roughly 650-680whp) and went to the roll race semi finals with (2) Hellcat Red-eyes and a Turbo Lambo..let's just say people were shocked about the J35 Accord running with them 😎😏

2.3 stroker on my 1st Evo precision 6765. ID 2200cc injectors. E85. Blah blah. 42psi on boost and made 768 at wheels. It does take lots of boost to make numbers on smaller displacement. And it was gutless until the turbo lit up.
My dream car.. had this idea in my head for a while, glad to see you made it happen. Only thing I could imagine doing differently would be adding a interchiller to the intake water rez.
Not a fan of the wheels and how big they look but I love every other aspect of this car. I had a j32 swapped eg coupe back before they were cool and fairly easy to do and I had the plenum sticking partially out which always drew alot of attention, with the 6spd manual and s2k cluster. I loved that car. Only got rid of it so I could keep building different platforms but that car still always has a place in my mind. Now with the AWD becoming so big, that would have made that car perfect.
They're KB1 rims. From the 05-08 Acura RL/Honda Legend. I don't really care for how they look on the car either, but at least they're from Honda lol they do match the KB1 pretty nicely, but on my KB1 I swapped out for some Enkei rims mostly to have lighter wheels and get some more power out of the ol' boat. I live at 5500 elevation and on my last trip to sea level the KB1 felt like my J32 accord at home at 5500 elevation. Really wish I brought my accord down there instead lol
My Ej8 is beefed up. Stock D16y8 and the height is stock. So I installed 9 Spocks 17 inch rims. No time to do an Scene going over the speed bumps. Rear sway bar 24mm with Rear Lower Control Arm Subframe Brace Tie Bar. 26mm front so drives like a go-cart stock shocks. Suspension confortable but in turns or curves grips to the floor assisted by that 96 accord rear spoiler

Vq35 takes boost reall well, too. Becomes so much more driveable. Torque from low down and it just build and build along with the revs. Or at least mine did anyway. Super smooth, progressive. No spikes. Although the DE doesn't "like" to be boosted with stock bottom end. 450hp, max. Mine blew at 431bhp and 380ib/ft. Bottom end went so I had one built with low comp pistons. The reduction in comp cost me 60hp so had to sort that with a boost controller.

I know this is an old video and someone probably pointed this out but Audi/Vw does use a 3.6L 6 cyl. The only reason their V8 is a 4.2L is due to the limits of the engine bay size. The engine size between the base model and the RS model are widely different. Essentially going from a 1.8L to a 2.7L and in some cases a 4.2L. Same with Volkswagen except their base was a 2.0L and the sport model came with a 3.6L (Passat & CC)
