      Hello and thank you for your comment! If by "blow up" you mean get to a large size, then you simply need to decompress them.

    Awesome video. Short and informative. Where are you from? I’m trying to place your accent but having a hard time. South Africa?

      Hello and thank you very much for your comment! I'm from Singapore! Though I wouldn't say that the accent you're hearing here is particularly representative of how we speak.

    Does this work with python IDLE?

      Hello and thank you for your comment! The content covered in this video is language-agnostic. As long as you can pack and unpack zip files in a programming language, you can technically do this.

    Hi uhm I've read on reddit that some students did submitted a zip bomb to their teachers a I think it's revolving around the internet as a meme.
    I want to know your thoughts about this one. Some says you'll be traceable once you did so.
    Uhmm.. Is it advisable tho?
    (sorry for any grammatical errors)

      Hello and thank you for your comment! I would strongly advise against trying a "prank" like this, as it's extremely easy to leave traces while doing so.
      Depending on the country, the nature of the incident, and the damage caused, the act could be considered cybercrime. If an investigation is launched by the authorities, it is very easy to find telltale signs that implicate the attacker.

    The first zip “bomb” shown was more of a grenade

      Hello and thank you for your comment! Yeah, that was more to show off the operating principles of the concept. I didn't exactly want to make a guide for creating something malicious, either!

    You didn't say how to delete them?

    • @NERDfirst
      @NERDfirst  8 лет назад +15

      +Carl J Hello and thank you for your comment! A ZIP bomb is just a small file in and of itself, so deleting it should just be like deleting any other file! If you're prevented from doing that for some reason, then there is something else that is locking the file, and your troubles go beyond the ZIP bomb, I'm afraid!
