I told everyone that this kid wasn't good enough to play for Barcelona when he was still in Brazil. I still don't see what some of you see in this guy and the two other Brazilian players you are trying to compare him to in Vini and Rodrygo were more skilled at the same age and possess more natural talent. Moreover, Vini is a wide player so it was expected that he wouldn't score many goals.
Vinicius in his earlier career with madrid was heavily criticised for his final third decision. Everyone saw his quality. Madrid was patient and did not send him out to loan. Everything you say sounds great, but there's a problem. Even if we're in the 1:1 rule next season, we need to offload players and clear some space in the wage bill to register 2-3 new players and current ones with new contracts, and it'd be very beneficial to offload part of Roque's salary, which isn't small. Roque could play LW if we play more directl football, but Xavi seemingly wants Leão, Nico Williams, maybe Leroy Sane...players that can dribble or combine with quick short passes, rather than making runs for long ones. I don't particularly like that but if that's what Xav wants, he needs the right players. Vitor is better as a striker and he needs playtime but Lewandowski is untouchable and Guiu is above Roque in Xavi's pecking order. One year in Betis or Girona could be great for him.

Why can't Roque be trained right within Barca? Another team on loan means he's going a learn different system. There's no fixed way for Barca expecting to work with ready ripe player, they must learn to train their own in-house.

Neymar - who is probably the biggest talent that has come out of brazil in the past 20 years took more than a year before he became a starter at barca over the likes of pedro and alexis sanchez. Just for context, Neymar was already in the top 10 ballandor candidates even before he signed for barca. So that itself tells u that talent alone doesn't guarantee u a starting spot in teams like barca and madrid.
Guys like Roque, vini, rodrygo, etc don't even come anywhere close to 1/10th of what neymar was back at santos. If Neymar took more than 1 year to become a starter at barca at the age of around 22, why do people expect guys like Roque to start right away at the age of 20 despite being significantly less talented??
Irrespective of the money, age and all other factors, just watch Roque's games from a purely sporting perspective. He lacks positional awareness. He can't link up with his teammates yet. Xavi is probably the best coach out there in Europe that can identify and work with young talents. He's given so many youngsters starting spots in the past 2.5 seasons. Why dyu think he's not yet letting Roque start when he was the 1st person to even advocate for Roque to be signed?? It's clearly because Roque isn't there yet.

But barca could never meet the Financials. It was after gavi got injured and Spanish national team payed compensation for him, they could fully sign Roque.
Xavi didn't want felix. Felix came in coz of laporta. Whereas xavi specifically requested for a striker to replace lewa by the end of this season coz lewa was already out and bad since after 2022 wc. He never really regained his form until late this season.
