If you don’t attack him when he’s on the ground, you can here him say stuff like… “Helloooo. This is your cue!” “Come on! Don’t hold back!” “Hey. This is the part where you hit me.” And other things.
He spent 15 years trapped alone since he was kid. So he has serious troubles with social interaction. A lot of that time was spent in developing perfect act that he wanted someone to see. Now billie just want to take gem and go away, never ever coming back. This is why he is angry. He can't even go away, he is trapped. There is no one in the theater who he can speak to. If he made new joke or script for an act, no one can rate it and say him if it good or not. Even his viewers are fake, they are literally just dolls, that he control manually. So now billie is a part of performance, she can't just go away. Billie is forced to finish act til the end. This is why fantoccio having so much fun during the fight, with all dances and jokes, he is getting more relaxed and more kind the longer the battle going. Missing part about thorn and change of some lirics, like- wont you be my puppet instead of time to be my puppet. And he is angry if you die before he could finish the show. He is in the middle of his dream coming true.
Now that I've been staring at the gameplay while listening, I just noticed his costume changes into a pirate outfit and into a tuxedo outfit, that's a really nice addition!
almost two years later I'm still impressed with how the instrumental version sounds complete on its own, it doesn't feel like there's anything missing without the lyrical line, but it's also not too chaotic once the lyrics are added in

You outdid yourselves. This song is too good to not give everyone insane expectations. Especially since you implemented in the testing area some VERY Sly Cooper movements, and flexible ones by making it rely on checking edges rather than pre destined paths. Plus jumping on top of poles, standing on top just like Sly plus the crouch. That just makes me want it more to see what scenarios and level designs you can come up with to really exploit these fun mechanics. And veterans of platformers will be very eager for a challenge since that boss test was actually hard. Mostly cause I intentionally got caught by the string just to see them dance X3. Also there's a glitch where they keep dancing even when the strings let go. DO. NOT. FIX. THIS! I love them standing there dancing intentionally as if they actually like it. Cause I do, like this song. Plus it's really funny how he's annoyed when you fail, cause it breaks the song and he calls for a do over. And how many voice lines he has for it. Love these details. Kept a smile the entire time even when dying over 6 times.
My parents' bank account will never see what hit it. It will only hear me playing this on my mom's computer and shouting the whole song when I'm supposed to just be singing
I wish the lyrics would scroll across the bottom like the text on the bottom of a news broadcast, then you would have time to process the words as you read them
This fight feels weirdly nostalgic to me and I realized it's because it kinda reminds me of the Phantom of The Opera fight from Scooby-Doo First Frights on the Wii, except unlike that fight this is actually a full musical number, in the Scooby-Doo game the Phantom only sings his song during the first phase of the fight, But I think it reminded me of it specifically bcuz of the floating in the middle of the stage while singing, they also both have enemies who come from the audience to attack you, and they both get crushed by the stage falling apart at the end of the fight- (at least in this version) This fight sequence really is spectacular though, I learned all the lyrics to this song and the Barnaby fight in a single day, the music is just so damn catchy, and it's very obvious that so much love is put into every aspect of the game, I'm really excited to play it when it releases, keep up the good work!!

I wish that instead of dealing damage to the bosses and just dodge the attacks and vibe to the bosses music would unlock a achievement called: "Enemies to friends!"
When I get the proper set up, I'm gonna use this video for some help on the lyric timing and duration. TwT I'll get the cover to you as soon as I learn how to sing again and get my set up! I promise!
