Itd take two days to cover my trap line sometimes -40 or colder. I always had 3 buffalo robes (2 for shelter) and my dog and me in the other robe. During the past few days I have been binging these dugout videos. I love them, but wonder how buggy these structures are. I figure being mostly underground, they would be full of bugs and spiders, even in the winter.
If done correctly u won't have the bugs and spiders. Most of these builds are good but lack personal care and just taking the time to do it right. These guys are on here to make a buck and have fun in the wild. They are not living in these so they won't take the time to build it correctly.

Maybe you can build a 20x10 ft plywood cabin with a plywood floor and make furniture for it. And paint the cabin a nice color.
