I'm I the only genius here? Go for example to a beach and bring 3 different outfits with you and take pics cleaning the beach with the three different outfits. It will take like 20 min and will give u about 30h

Also that's cheating, and the academic honesty policy is intense for the normal subjects. Idk how they handle cheating in CAS but nobody wants to fail their IB for being lazy

Great content, i liked it! For my CAS, i will be coaching my friends on the fundamentals of basketball + i will be the photographer of my school + I will interview new students to have to opinion on the school and life. These are my projects. What do you think?
Can having a carnival stall count for CAS?
currently in pre ib! is travelling to another country to do CAS something possible for the school to help you set up with? or does cas have to be done while doing other ib work as well. (or perhaps since ib is international going to another ib school in another country probably works better)

Does being a cadet count as service
You mentioned that you can learn handlettering for creativity. I was planning on doing that but we need a supervisor and I was wondering if you know how the supervisor would look over that activity and how we would track the hours. Any help would be appreciated because I'm struggling with the creativity part of CAS
Just ask someone who is not a family member and not a classmate, anyone would do really. The amount of writing required from a supervisor could be like one or two sentences and as long as you show enough of your progress through pictures and writing you should be fine! You could even ask your CAS coordinator if he/she would be your supervisor for one project. If you want to be sneaky (not saying you should, just that it's an option if all else fails...) you could ask a relative with a different surname from you and just give him/her a different title!

Hi! So I am starting the IB course this September and I was wondering, as I currently play the violin and take tennis classes if these weekly activities would count as CAS or else I would have to start something new. Btw, this was extremely helpful! Thank you!

From what I know that should be totally doable! I had one friend who continued her tennis lessons for CAS and one friend who played the violin (which she had been playing since she was 6) so I think you should be all good! :)

It has really been a life saver since where I live there are only four schools that teach the IB program and the nearest is an hour and a half away and so I won't have much time as not only will I be doing the IB course, but also the standard Spanish Baccalaureate. So thank you so much! I've just subscribed, you are awesome!

Okay I'm starting Ib in a month and I'm wondering if these activities would work out, Creative- Learning Ukelele, Activity-Daily run,Service-Library Volunteering, please let me know if theses work as I'm slightly stressing out XD
For the activity part, I think you have to have a goal or something like that (e.g. in 3 months I wanna run this far in this little time) or mix it with creativity or service in any way
Could writing book reviews possibly count as service?
Alexander Pönisch talk to your supervisor about it, but I think it will be hard to argue for it since you’re not explicitly helping anyone by doing it. I couldn’t get service hours for making these informational videos, but I got creativity for it instead. Of course I’m only guessing here, so talking to your supervisor about it is the best option!

I self-study guitar and piano at home and also study japanese. Will these count as CAS hours? Also, does a summer job count?
The guitar, piano and japanese will definitely count. The summer job won't as you are not allowed to earn money from CAS projects :)

I actually think that a summer job could count for service (depending on what exactly you are doing) if you donate ALL the money you earn to a charity

If you donate all the money you earn I believe that it would count, but you have to discuss it with you CAS coordinator. It could be that different coordinators are okay with different types of things. But as I said, I think it could count as service if you work and then donate the money to a charity

In my school, they've changed it that we don't have hours, we have to do this regularly for the whole 2 years

Like for example if you did running who would be the supervisor?
A supervisor should be someone who can confirm that you’re doing the work you’re supposed to, but should not be a friend or relative. Your CAS coordinator can usually be your supervisor for some of your projects.
