Tried lots of bikes myself including gsx8, hornet, trident, 850gs and cb 650r. They are all great bikes some more powerful than others hornet has bonkers power, but in the finish I bought gsx8 in white as it fits me like a glove and i don’t regret my choice for 1 minute. If anyone is looking for a bike in this class I recommend you go and test ride one and you’ll see just how good it is. After 2800 miles it still makes me smile.
I really enjoy these middle weight naked bikes. Sit in the clean wind, plenty fast yet engaging and able to run high in the revs going through the gear box. To me they are more enjoyable than the litre class if you are out to purely have fun. Great insight of both your thoughts on this bike. Thank you.
G’day Nick & Jodie, just another suggestion is to try some used bikes that were great. I ride a 2002 Yamaha TDM900 and it’s one of the best bikes I’ve ridden. Comfortable and capable and puts a grin 😁 on my dial every time I ride it. The exhaust note with aftermarket pipes is glorious. The centre of gravity is quite low too, making it feel very manageable. They are as reliable as an axe and the money you save can pay for many trips. Cheers, Andy
Hi Nick & Jodie, I've got a GSXS1000F, been touring with it in Wales & Lake District. I've also got a FJR1300, that I bought for touring & commuting, when I was working in Cambridge. I can do more miles on the Suzuki, than the Yamaha. I think it's because that, the Suzuki is so much fun to ride😁, that I can do more milage, without having to stop for a coffee & ciggy😊😂
I had one of these from CJ Ball when they first launched about a year ago. What I would say about the QS is that it will benefit from a few miles. Mine was a bit notchy at first but is as smooth as silk now. I noticed as well that you were in ride mode B on your test ride. If you get the chance, try it in A mode for an even quicker throttle response. Cheers and good luck with your continued hunt 👍
Bought the Tracer 700 today that I showed you - can't wait to ride it when I get back from holiday in a couple of weeks! Bonus was we also found USB ports on it as well lol
i have a blue 8s i do find the quick shifter a bit hit and miss, felt smoother than the hornet i tested on upshifts but not downshifts i don't find the bike vibey at all personally but i came from a 390 duke so that could be why?
Yes its a nice bike but like the Hornet it's what we used to call a UJM it doesn't stir the soul and there's so many that look similar. I like my bikes to have character and this type has very little, in my opinion.
Also, going on tour-d-Wales & Lakes, @ the weekend. Gonna spend Saturday afternoon @ the Albert Dock in Liverpool🤔🤔🤔, There's a nice Rum Bar there, that sells all different concoctions of rum based drinks😜😋😋😋
Hello good people fun vid, I was just wondering have you considered the XSR900? Ps it only goes as fast as you twist the throttle…and half the fun is ownership.
No need to buy a bike. Just keep on testing bikes. That way, you save the costs of ownership, you still get the enjoyment of a ride and it's always something different. Win win!
Test rode that very Suz 8S last summer at cj ball whilst i was waiting for the hornet. I felt that i was to much on my wrists a bit more leant forward. But the lower end torque is great. You say clunky on the gearbox. Suzuki boxes supposed to be one of the best 😂 and Jodie is right it is a vibey bike 😊
Another great video.nick and jo. I know jo is confused but if it was me then i would go for the z650. And has for u nick i suggest a scram 411.u carnt get into trouble lol.
Yeah, you could tell she enjoyed the z650 the most. A purchase has been made and our revelation is this Sunday at 9am. I definitely won't be loosing my licence on said bike though
Nice looking bike….the Suzuki looks like it can shift pretty fast….I am biased towards the NC750DCT….have to say, so many great bikes out there, difficult to choose….comes down to personal choice and where you ride….and of course finances…..good luck guys
@@nicksepisode haha, same, I only play when it hits a billion usd.... (someone out of state won that one yesterday) the texas only one is *only* 865 million lol

Thats great. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
me too i have to blue gsx 8s after testing the hornet and duke 790
I am lucky enough to own a few bikes, but my 'go-to' machine is my Honda NC750X, the smallest capacity bike I own, yet easily the most practical...
Great bike, love this series! Find more bikes & keep it going👍
Thanks, David. we're pleased that you are enjoying the series. This Sunday coming is a good one !
Just noticed you’re over 9k subs. 👍
So close to 10k! we are over the moon!

Not a bad idea Andy. Thanks for the suggestion

Oh the 390 Duke is a vibe machine. I had a 390 adventure and that tingled the bones. I thought the suzuki was fine.
@njepisodes also I got mine for £7500 new otr November last year. ❤

Well said
Oh nice! Now to try out the Triumph trident guys! :D
We're lacking good dealership support in our area for Triumph unfortunately
You better like the Tractor he is coming from the former British Sector 😆. Good old trusty Deutz. Don´t forget at least to try the Last of the R1
You need a tractor to ride on our poorly maintained roads here, not great for an R1 that's for sure! lol
I cant think of any better way to spend the long weekend! enjoy bud :)
Will Jo be on the NC next time also? Stay tuned.
Lol yeah we will take it on every video now haha
Hello good people fun vid, I was just wondering have you considered the XSR900? Ps it only goes as fast as you twist the throttle…and half the fun is ownership.
Good point. That really is a nice-looking machine. Hope the seat is better on the 900, though, lol
Nick have you thought of trying the mt07 tracer, just a bit bigger for you.
Yes and loved it. But the Honda NC750X wins in that class
No need to buy a bike. Just keep on testing bikes. That way, you save the costs of ownership, you still get the enjoyment of a ride and it's always something different. Win win!
Not a bad idea. What line of bikes would you suggest next ? With already done naked bikes

The bike is great, but I just didn't like the quick shifter. Agreed, the position is a tad more aggressive than the hornet.
Urgh! That bike colour blue my mind! I need to lego of my biases!
love blue !
have you thought about giving a maxi scooter a go?
I'm afraid I might love it too much, but I prefer having something between my legs on a bike :P

Reveal is coming Sunday 9am UK time!
After much deliberation I bought a Honda NC750X. I went for the geared version though because the DCT is prone to issues.
That GSX is a sexy looking bike 👍
Oh it really is
The triumph speed twin 400 would be a nice bike for jodie, light nice size and not a bad price.
None available near us unfortunately
Suppose lings Watton is a long way.
Watton is a great dealership and we've tested bikes there in the past. However they can't get a 400 until next year (apparently)
You need to try the latest cb650r with the e-clutch
I'm intrigued. Don't think I'd like it tho. Seems more unnatural than the dct
@@nicksepisode I think that's what would make it interesting, trying something new and a screaming 4 pot. Go on give it a try nout to lose 😁
You will lose your license! 😆
