I have a theory what if the necklace was a gift from the fairy godmothers and they put magic in it to make sure aurora was safe and propably in part 2 maleficent will try to steal the necklace to gain the power for herself and aurora will get back her necklace somehow
Or maybe after the part where she saw the powers a note fell from the necklace to the ground and it said it was from the fairy godmothers and yada yada yada maleficent steals the necklace aurora finds it again butt in the last part she hears her mother's voice from the necklace. Plot Twist!!!
Another thought what if she gets two options above her head stay a mermaid or stay on land butt what if maleficent had triggered the necklace to activate the options.
Or maybe she focuses more on finding her magic so aurora's mother gave her the necklace and she gifted her with powers so aurora goes on a journey to figure that out?
