I agree. Funny enough, the game coding for the Re remake and RE4 is crazy yet conventional. It even plays fantastically in an emulator using a potato (or at least mid-tier spec) Android smartphone. A good ice-breaker to introduce the genre whenever I'm on-the-go.
I remember playing the first game after seen that zombie look at me I threw the controller didn’t play it. Until resident 2,3 came out. I hope we get resident 5 remake the coop was so much fun
I agree 100%! The remake creeped me out, and my friends always wanted to watch me play it. They said it was like watching a horror movie. Just amazing piece of work, that scared the hell out of me.
Man you gotta play Revelations 1 and 2, they're perfect for fans who enjoyed the mechanics and feel of Re4. Plus ReRev2 is pretty damn creepy. Code Veronica is overrated in my opinion but it should be beaten at least once and is worth the playthrough. RE4 is tense as hell for the first few playthroughs, but it just eventually becomes fun, whereas RE1remake and zero are just evergreen tense due to their difficulty and mechanics. replaying atm an it gets better everytime i play it i can say out of the main games i love them all i can never chose a favorite my opinion changes everytime i replay one
The 3rd remake wasn't as good as it should've been re2 remake was better in the main antagonist area but still had holes in the plot of who killed what monster in the 2 storylines you can run but nemesis felt like he wasn't a constant threat if re4 remake is God tier I think I want a remake of the remake on
For some reason, I find re1 remake painful, boring and confusing. This is probably because my eyes were already spoiled by the modern graphics by the time I played the game for the first time.
To be honest I prefer the DS port of RE 1 over the remake, I like the remake but I personally think the combat and fixed camera work against it though I understand why so many people think its the perfect RE game

re1 is the most resident evil resident evil game but it has some problems that make not as enjoyable as some of the other games.

Understandable tbh. I can see the newer games being a lot more appealing and accessible than Remake to most people.
