I'm not normally a "green" person but wow that Exosphere!! 💚 So glad that you've had the first batch and are happy with them. A great selection and a fantastic take on them all. Of course love the Pee Wee too, shame I didn't catch you on our visit as I'd brought my Pee Wee with flatwounds.
I have been saving money to order a Jazzy from Fanner ... Next few days will be the moment, and today you present Fanner in this video! I hope they will not be completely overrun!
Great review as always Alex, I got my Fanner last summer, I had the guys at Fanner custom make me a small version of my Fender Strat, Great guys to work with, they kept me updated through out the build, I had lots of options, ie woods, fret boards, scratch plates, they even sent me a colour chart to match my strat, I had a Baritone scale neck but with GCEA tuning. Over all the finish was first class, this will defiantly not be my last Fanner.
I've had a Pixelator handbuilt to my finishes specification for my 50th Birthday. It's a lovely instrument and has inspired some friends to invest in one too..
Had a Risa Tele uke for a few years. Found the Risa just a little to ice picky. Traded it on a Fender Telecaster. While I enjoy the full richness of sound from the Fender, I'm not sure I want to continue the 4 to 6 string transition. I've meandered over the Fanner website from time to time. Knew I wanted a Pixelator Thinline-Tenor. I think the pick ups will be better than the Risa pick ups based I what I have heard via reviews. Saw the recently posted Midnight Blue model available and I had the funds. Reached out to Mark at Fanner about changing the pick guard. Mark was more than accommodating. Sent me some photos with options I was interested in seeing. Just got the tracking message a little while ago. Pixelator should be at the house by the end of the day. Given temperature variations in shipping and the house temperature I'll have have to let the box sit for awhile--overnight--Will be rocking in Christmas and the New Year!
I have a lefty Pixelator Baritone, had it for a couple of years but sadly it's my least played instrument, I'm afraid that the capacity of the instrument far exceeds my skill set. That and the fact that I'm in no setting where such a beast has a place. It does look cool though.
@@SouthernUkuleleStore - I am not a fan of a pick and I just assumed you had too. I did notice you all were not using one but I was not sure if it was just for the video or if many uke players do not use them even on this type of ukulele. Now I am very intrigued!
@@SouthernUkuleleStore its a joke about the late jazz great Alan Holdworths' comically small-bodied signature model guitar (look it up and see what I mean)
$791.00? Way too expensive for what it is... I made my own tenor Tele out of African Zebra wood and Maple neck... made it for less than $200.... sounds freekin awesome too.
I had a fanner bass - not greatly impressed. He recommended a tuning that was not EADG, for a start, not good for a beginner player. E string always had a buzz. And I had to tune it nearly after every song, not good when you are playing in a group Doesn’t play at all now. That was about 5-6 years ago, I guess.
I have three Fanner ukuleles and am completely addicted!!!

Same! Honestly I keep debating the Jazzy bolt on, the Jazz Mistress, and the Wisp (just cause it’s different). Clearly I need all three….
My word those sound so beautiful! Great playing bro
I got a Fanner "Telecaster stylish" about 5 years ago. Super sweet. Made of layered salvaged wood. Definitely vibey and one of a kind.
What's a telecaster? I see no resemblance and neither do our lawyers 😬

Do they make a version of these that uses nylon strings + piezo or microphone pickup?

Thanks for doing this video. I was just looking at their website the other day and wondering what their ukes are really like!
Just brilliant sounding instruments Alex. Love them all!
They really sound amazing
I have one of their Venetian Jazzy Semi Hollow Body Baritone Ukuleles and I absolutely love it!

😅
Love the candy apple 🍏 green Exosphere
These are so damn cool🎉
Big 'fan' of this brand!
I want that peewee and to put picc or guitar strings on it. Like a tenor.
Loving the slide playing. What is the tuning?
GCEG
The green piwi bass sound deep bass to me.
awesome vid !!

I know 🤣 jeez... just couldn't find the bloody word when i needed it!
I don't see that baritone lasting long.
Don't the steel strings chew up your fingers when strumming?
Probably if it's new to you but not really at all
What amp are you using Alex?
Ampeg RB112 Bass Amp for the Peewee
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (turned down to basically zero and the gain at halfway) for the others.
Are all these all steel strings? Do you play them with a pick or can you still play without one?
Yes, they need steel strings for the magnetic pickup to work. Nobody in this video is using a pick but you could if you wanted to.

Hi i can buy a worn pono acd all solid acaccia deluxe it has like 6 years for 200usd in good condotion u think its worth it for 6 years instrument ?
Candy apple or mushy pea green.
i thought it was a new Kiesel HH-2 Allan Holdsworth?
I don't know what any of those things mean. All I know is that the Millenium Falcon once completed the Keisel run in less than twelve parsecs

I maintain they are great value for money, you've clearly gone another route and that's great. 💯
