I have been a developer for the past 10 years, and believe me IT jobs are going to be reduced drastically in the future, more and more coding jobs will be automated using AI, meaning what is programming? It is a set of instructions to execute a certain task on a computer, there will be a conversion from this programming language to machine-level code, now computers are getting smart enough to interact in the human language itself, so ideally there will be less and less dependency on a human to generate this codes. So bear yourself for the future, it is highly unpredictable, and things are going to be super cool or worse.

Switching job ASAP for those who are on AD and Cloud IaaS particularly is needed. Scope is very less in infra going forward due to serverless and zero-touch technologies. Even I am confused where to start. But yes, DevOps helps. Also, hard to say but, you need to learn and work on something on, which is difficult for a non-technical background people to learn. You know what I mean. That is where a market is for us.

For your first job, almost all big companies will demand a full time on campus degree course. Once you gain some experience, say around 5-6 years, many companies start focusing on your experience instead of marks/mode of degree. Getting in is tough when you dont have campus placements.. Always go for a full time degree unless you have an unavoidable reason (e.g. working already in a well paying job)
