I was at Alafia that day on a road trip from Atlanta. Saw your REEB van but you must of been out on the trail so missed out on saying hey. Love that trail by the way much better than Santos. Virginia Key in Miami was also very cool and different.
Jeff- Advice on best bikes/geometry for FL? I’m moving here from PNW, and have an Evil Wreckoning which I know is way too much bike for the FL trails. Love your videos I watch every one 👍🏼
Sorry for the mega late response! I'd say a "down country" style bike would work best. Slack head angle and strong frame are good but you don't need a ton of travel.
When I lived in Florida I was there every weekend. And the best part I lived 10 minutes from there. Moon scape and roller coaster were my two favorites. But I heard they changed a lot of the trails.
Nicely put together Jeff! It's like you're a pro at this or something! Hope the ribs are better. Hopefully we'll get to say hello at Mountain Creek this year.
Where are you guys going next? I would love to run into you guys again. Last year you hooked me up and helped me out. Stand up dude and a badass rider!!!!!
I love Alafia and drive nearly 2 hours to go there at least once a month. Well worth the drive, and with their recent $5k grant from REI, it's going to get even better.
Most people who live in Florida seem to have a short/mid travel full suspension trail bike or an aggressive hard tail. Never ridden down there but that's what most people seem to like to ride down there
No joke i ran into him and laura slavin or slaven last year at alifia not only are they badass riders but such good people too. Helped me overcome fears and hit jumps i was scared to
Cool video with an even cooler soundtrack. Straight to Spotify for those tracks. Thanks Jeff.
Rad!
That looks soooooo good..... great soundtrack too!
Thanks!
That's a sweet looking trail!
Thaat is my annual go-to riding location in the winter months when i visit my folks in FL. Great place to ride! Hope your ribs heal soon!
Thanks Scott, I'm feeling MUCH better

YUP, I'll be there
What do you recommend hardtail or full suspension and what brand for florida mountain bike trails?
Most people who live in Florida seem to have a short/mid travel full suspension trail bike or an aggressive hard tail. Never ridden down there but that's what most people seem to like to ride down there
I live in Florida and thank you alot of people suggest hardtails
Connor nailed that one. What kind of riding do you do or would you like to do?
I only know carter road and alafia
My favorite place is carter road
You coming to Miami again?
Maybe? Hopefully?
If you are working your way down and need a place to stay the night and safe to park, lmk.
WTF. That looks soo good! Those narrow ridges everywhere looks insane. Almost looks man-made but the must be natural?
A lot of these parks were mined back in the day
But did you spot any crocs? As always, good stuff Jeff!
I think it was too cold but usually we do!
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss living on the edge!
Can I ride on a mountain bike trail with you?

Ok thank you

Dude you missed a few spots you gotta see
there's too many!
I can only ride in florida on Sundays and Tuesdays
All the native Floridians are long sleeves and jackets and Jeff is wearing t shirt and shorts
Seriously, they have thin blood!
Not true bud!!! I was out Christmas day with shorts and jersey 26 degrees.
