A Vanda and Young Masterpiece!
Truly in the top handful of Australian songs ever. Great lyrics, great tune. Brilliant.
NO, in the top songs of ALL time!
This great song has stood the test of time for sure
Fellow McDonald too, agrees with you!

The best song ever performed on Rockwiz
How great to see Doc Neeson... I was just at a Hard Aches gig having a yarn with his nephew...
wonderful tribute..absolutely fantastic xx
Love this band. Love this show.
RIP Doc!
great cover......thanks...don't hear this one enough
So good! Well done Rockwiz.
FANTASTIC XX
Great effort. Go Doc!!!!
Poor old Doc Neeson, wasn't much longer for this world.
Great that he was there though!
luv it because Doc still around
great performance
One day I'll get to Rockwiz. Then I can die happy.
I've been twice:
it's worth the effort !
Bring some hearing protection. They too loud .
Magical performance:)
Awesome cover of an Awesome song!
Soo f'n good
smashing birds.
So much talent in such a small spot
Springsteen has covered this tune. I believe Bowie did too, along with some other people. But this is closest to the way EasyBeats originally did this song, matching the tempo, guitar riffs, vocal phrasing. Well done, Mates!
If it isn't BROKE Don't Fix It. 😢😢😢😢.
There's nothing wrong with the way that Stevie wright performed the song.
Stop putting Females in where they Are Not needed.
They Ruin everything. No talent no looks just making noise because they are most likely Dating the people who are producing the show..
If you want to play that song then put Stevie wright on display singing it on a TV monitor. It would have been so much Better.
Was Vanda and young so broke and desperately needing the money that they have to Ruin their own music 🎵🎶🎶.
What a pityful thing to Watch.
Them defacing there own music like this 😢😢😢😢😢.
Rock Quiz on my mind
Yep, not to bad.
I have to agree with you about the women. The song didn't need them. It is like putting frosting on brownies or peanut butter on rice crispy treats.
The song is better the original way, with Stevie wright singing it.
Great cover
I wish I was on stage! :-)
+Hermann Kepfer wish I were there!!!!
Dont We All ??? (as Muso)
Gossling...
Who is the guying singing the first verse?
Steve Kilbey from The Church
The female spoils it at the 28 second point
Yep
good idea i want to learn how to sing the lead singer should sing in tune ?
bmmmat song done without 12 peoples aare
Doc is happy to do backing, but he could have done the whole thing.
Get him on the mic.
Franky m8 do you like you am I
How a bit of cred to the band...
can you buy copies of this?
+Darling Harbour Massage Unfortunately no, it's not available in full anywhere. Maybe we need to petition SBS to get it out there...
I think it's still on SBS streaming. Most other episodes are.
Let Kilby take the lead
Can't match Stevie's energy when he performed this song.
Steven, yep all those people on stage and still couldn’t match Stevie Wright.
Stevie was embarrassing with whatever he was trying to do with his awkward dance moves...
@@fc7208 It was 1967, STFU.
@@fc7208love it always love it
Omg. The singers 😖
kicsit hasonlít.
all those artists should be on government payroll to promote aussie culture it would be my taxes at work
Doc relegated to Tambourine duty, that sucks with all the upstarts taking the lead. RIP
Imagine how well this number could be performed if performance was at a venue where the artists could play at sensible non deafening decibels. Typically it's 140 decibels with the rockwiz morons and some even bring children along .
Hard to fuck this song up. Lots of envelope openers on stage though.
Que ?
Shorty Comstive khe?
Gosh - nowhere near as good as the original version. None of these guys/girls come close to Stevie Wright.
Stevie was embarrassing with whatever he was trying to do with his awkward dance moves...
They are not try to be better than Stevie ..... They are doing this as a tribute and you should appreciate good AUS artists
@@smee7683 I didn't say I didn't appreciate their efforts or say that the performance was bad (in fact I think it is very good). I said that it was nowhere as good as the original - which generally tends to be the case.
@@fc7208 it was his dancing that we love the most. so cute.
just got better with age. should never done jesus christ superstare. his life took a downward turn.
but made it back even better.
@@OldiesMomma I agree Lloyd....the dancing was something I never expected and at least didn't take anything away from their awesome song!
das original ist besser und fetziger.
the original classic was way beyond its time
Brilliant version not a cover
Waste of time they didn't have the "feeling of...."
STEVIE!!!!! 💔
Best version is by Gary Moore even the guy who wrote the song said so.
Yeeeeah, Nah. I love Gary Moore's version but you can never beat the original which was 20 years old when he released his. I loved the song since hearing it as a 2 year old in 1967 and bought the Gary Moore Wild Frontier album after hearing his version but I already had 20 years of the Easybeats version lodged in my brain. So no.
shithouse
Pity most of them are out of tune....
Yes, but it's extremely loud on the stage and so that's what happens when they can't hear themselves singing.
BOOOO!
I thought this was a difficult song to ruin, these people did it though. Bloody awful!
andrea22213 it's actually a very easy song to ruin. It says a lot about the talent of vanda and young that they did it so well.
They're at 120 decibels, so it happens .
