That look like a lot of fun! That is the RIGHT place for a 698! I am selling my 698 as it is my only daily vehicule for shopping, travelling (no car),...and as such it is not optimum...empty engine at low rpm and only fun at higher rpm and then you are illegally fast very quickly!...but it is a blast! Agreed! Beautiful bike, super high tech, racing engine, top finish, top brands components, amazing position on the bike, amazing fully adjustable suspensions,...so if you use it as it is intended it is probably the best bike in its class...for daily commute and city and cool slow touring: wrong bike! Twisty roads on the gas? YES!!!! Track? YES!!! I am shifting to a black Yamaha MT 09 2024 as this can do it all: slow touring, city, twisty roads, track, commute,...I LOVE my 698... but it is inadequate for my usage and so it has to go. The moral of the story is that it is very important to test ride a bike before you buy it! I had my 698 about 1 month...the best toy I ever had!!! Best, Olivier Mannie, Belgium
@@oliviermannie8533 I honestly love it for city cruising. I wouldn’t have it any other way, that being said I am here in Mexico where road conditions are less than ideal so a supermoto like the 698 is amazing and handles incredibly while splitting lanes or with any road conditions. Everyone has their preference though and I respect that you prefer the MT 09 for daily use, it’s an incredible bike as well.
@@mike.snider For sure the best bike around for bad roads! True! in the city the feeling of dominating (high seat position) the traffic on this bike is amazing! Have fun!!!
Good you got it on track - best place to learn. Just a few tips.. - when on track we wana hear the engine, the down shifts, your commentating on what it feels like.. ditch the music - let people know if or any prep work you did on the bike to set it up for the track I.e tyre pressures, suspension adjustments - overlap a map of the track at the beginning or whilst riding so we know where you are
@@hypermotardking I appreciate the feedback bro. I will be going often, the track is 30 mins from my house and is only $50 to ride from 9am to 6pm so I will definitely do this. Honestly this video was to test out my microphones and new camera. I am just getting started wit this and trying to get my setup locked in but I agree with you on this. As for talking while riding, it was my first time on the track so I was keeping my focus on riding not talking and it was super windy so I felt like I was going to struggle with a ton of wind noise anyways lol.
