Audioquest isn’t a cable company. They’re a marketing company that understands distribution and how to help retailers increase profits. More margins in cables than electronics.
Yes, I also find it ironic that they use the directive of "do no harm" while grifting a lot of people with severely over-priced cables and using pseudoscience explanations at best in the process. A good part of the price is indeed the marketing, including the packaging. A simple physics education is enough to see through it and I personally happen to have a little bit more than that. With utmost confidence I can tell you that the "cable cooking" aspect, the way they explain it clearly shows they know next to nothing about physics. What also gets me with these cable companies like these guys is that the cables and builds are indeed good quality, not questioning that, so why can't they sell them based on that alone? Answer: Greed.
What a bunch of hooey. Directional cables? You need clean power and decent cabling in a low EMF environment. No cable beyond that is going to make a difference you can hear.
I think audioquest cables are great. I don't just say that because im a reseller and installer, but their cables are genuinely great quality and build is fantastic. That being said, QED and CHORD are also great cables.
When people say, “snake oil” I hear, “my HiFi system is a Bluetooth speaker “. I understand diminishing returns. My system is clearly Red River, Golden Gate, and Cinnamon level. Going bigger would be wasteful with the gear I have. I know because I tried it.
Imagine buying a car and being told the best results require an aftermarket air filter and oil filter costing 10% of the value of the new car. Would you smell a Monster of a rat ?

I don't know why...but I feel that Audio Quest is Monster cable 2.0
For what it's worth, Monoprice is/was the parent of Monster Cable.
My thought was exactly
I have a Niagara 1200 for my TV. It really made a huge difference in the color quality.
I have several lower end AQ cables: Toslink and HDMI. Build quality is good.
Where do they keep the vats of snake oil?
😂

Directional cables for an A/C signal. More Woo Woo than Big Boy.
I have a Powerquest 505. It makes a difference in the noise floor. No regrets.
Audioquest Is Snake oil, they know how to sell and market their name, thats it, basicly Monster Cables 2.0

I have all AudioQuest optical, HDMI and interconnect hooked up to my HiFi Rose streamer.
Hifishark alone has over 3000 AudioQuest for sale. Shows disgruntled owners are selling.😀
There are also a lot of used Apple products for sale. Does that mean users are disgruntled?
@@erics.4113 I wouldn't compare the two products.

I dont why everyone sounds like a Lair in this video.
Audio quest is a complete rip off...speaks volumes if Upscale Audio supports them
I'll believe our southern border is closed before I believe 70% of this unnecessary ocd nonsense regarding cables .🤔🤫🙄
