Hello @TheRedHawk. I just wanna say I love your A to Z series. I am a casual player of EU since EU 3 and I never really did WC because I play chill games without any pressure. However, your video from about a year ago inspired me to do it with Ottomans, it was a hellhole and I am not touching the game for a while hahaha. Still, I wanna thank you! Happy Holidays! :D
As Switzerland honor Calvin and make HRE Reformed, we've seen protestant HRE but Reformed doesn't perform that well. With its recent buffs it'll be a worthwhile endeavour, bonus goal, ensure all swiss cultured provinces have 30 dev and a fort (they're rich and have million bunkers)
As Switzerland, love chocolate. Have five provinces that produce cocoa, five for sugar, five for cattle/milk and five for sllaves. Build a workshop in everyone of them.
For the Copper Mine Event at 29:04, I think it's the better choice to take the manufactory and upgraded production building, since you can upgrade the mine yourself at any point in time, but the buildings won't be unlocked for quite a while.
Switzerland has tons of good stuff for mercenaries. So try to do a mercenary only run as the Swiss. And, IDK, also take at least 1% warscore in a peacedeal against the Ottomans, for all the sadists in the comments that want you to feel PAIN.
I did that a few months ago and it's kinda overpowered. Mercs are almost free because of the huge cost reduction and they crush every other army. You just can't hire enough Mercs in the lateish game, because there aren't enough and you never get enough cannons. It's still extremely strong in the early and mid game.
I have had this one prepared for since the p letters As Switzerland, have both France and Austria as your vassal without directly annexing any land that does not start with Swiss Culture in 1444 (Swiss Neutrality and all). You must also be on the Great Powers List.
I don't know why Hawk worries about the Dutch rebellion disaster so much. Every time I've got it, it's like 10k rebels every once in a while, totally manageable by a garrisoning army (put it on auto rebels suppression and you don't even have to think about it). Granted, it lasts for 20 years or so, but it's not dangerous in the slightest.
@@Solmyr77 Maybe he thinks the disaster will knock the stab down to -3? I presumed that (I rarely ever play on that region, least get Burgundy succession)
I thought the Swedish Missions let you trigger the Leagues earlier than normal? The Protestant path of the Branching Missions after "Theologian Discussions".
While you were Emperor, you should have vasselized an elector and switched their electorship to yourself so you'd be kingdom rank when you lose the emperorship
Since Switzerland is notoriously German, French, and Italian, own Paris, Berlin, and Rome while also making France, Austria, and Venice not exist (they're the strongest nations of these cultures at the start)
As Switzerland: 1.) dominte/monopolize the Chocolate trade! Conquer all starting provinces that produce Cocoa. 2.) vassalize Brussel, the lesser chocolate. 3.) all while maintaining their republic and, of course, merc only
7:15 the tooltip looks awkward because there's two separate lines, but it's: gain claims on the provinces needed for the three missions *after* we win the independence war (line break) gain permaclaim on skaneland (instant)
As Switzerland immediately delete all armies and you’re only allowed mercenaries the rest of the game. Then due to Switzerland being the land of lakes conquer all lakes in the world (own or have a subject own every lake boarding province)
You know what would be funny? If Redhawk sets a goal like become Protestant HRE emperor and then a Ai country would abolish the HRE before you can do it. I know Ai doesn't do that but would be funny
As Switzerland, conquer all inland provinces of the France and Italy regions (no coastals allowed). Also since you're Switzerland, you have to do this without ever allying anyone.
Dalaskogen is a super OP province, I usually make it my capital because of the mine that’s there (they nerfed it, but it’s still crazy). My last Sweden campaign I was making like 15 ducats a month from the production dev
ah mer god he shown the slacken and man power event thing for double the manpower recovery ! also thats some crazy luck / good run for sweden making it so simple
Being a new player (read: roughly 100 hours of play time) I trird this a few times, failed to make this work, but then this happened; Imagine you are Sweden, you claim your indipendence and expand south east, taking Novogrond and some of the baltic states. You ally Poland wich had Lithuania as it's Vassal and proceeds to crush the HRE from two sides. Not what I imagined would happen, but fun, nonetheless. :)
@The Red Hawk as Sweden the Religion Mission (what you chose at the End) are very important, because they give you some nice Modifier and when you klick the Dalaskogen Mission after you startet the Level 2 Upgrade,it changes insta to Level 2 and starts the Level 3 Upgrade. And as Switzerland you only have fun, because its a nice Nation to play as 😊
As switzerland, stack up as many fort defense modifiers as possible, through ideas and advisors, and have max level forts in as many provinces as possible
you can set yourself as "not joining offensive wars" with your allies (i think you need dlc for this, can't remember which), that way you could have avoided your allies dragging you into bs wars before the religious leagues popped.
It was in fact, not the last nation in season S. It's probably for the best, so you get one more chill and fun campaign until you play Tapuia, a migratory tribe in the Brazil region.
I remember the war. I was Portugal, and I join to the protestant side and... we lose, this war just destroyed my army and navy and my destroyed my establish dominant control in South America, yes I lost some main territory
What you should do is circumnavigate the globe.... not via boat but by as a one province minor native style by migrating around...only to return back to the HRE, reclaim all cores and become the Emperor.
When Danzig pops out, you can dec on them after. Poland won't defend if your Allies. Poland won't make them a subject if you're in a war with them. You can either vassalise Danzig (no allies, easy war) Tutons (usually Liv Ord) Or just take the land. I find this is like 90-100% success. Poland will usually be pretty chill about it. Improve relations, and you can keep them as an ally. Based poland.
- Own all Swiss provinces - Have fort in every Swiss province - Have fort defense above +100% Idea is to form a lesser version of Watchers of the wall from Habibi's daycare
as switzerland: control only the romandie and switzerland areas get the mercenary + influence policy and create 9 client marches in every province but bern beat austria and france in wars you'll have like 60k troops in total so it wont be that hard
Mountain fortress Switzerland. As Switzerland own ever mountain, hill, and highlands province from the Carpathian mountains to the Pyrenees and build a fort on them.
for roleplay sure, but for gameplay i think getting burgundy is a no-brainer. strong early game subject, not hard to get loyal, foothold in english channel and a springboard into the british isles, which is a natural expansion path for sweden/scandi anyway. you just don't want the horse event.

Get Swiss chocolate and gold. Go conquer Mexico, basically.
Fight the Ottomans with mercenaries only

As Switzerland get all the Swiss provinces, without declaring any war. True neutrality
Stop
EU4 version of the AEIOU achivement from ck3
there are events that allow you to incorporate three leagues and geneva after their independence without wars, right?
This, but also after that take all the mountain provinces in the alps and don’t own a port/coastal tile
@@TheRedHawk lol no

might as well be emperor of reformed hre
yeah why hre is not reformed ever
56:52 Scandinavian Scandinavia
Thank the Dutch revolt event.
I saw French France in my first ever campaign, that was good
Beautiful
I was literally waiting for that as soon as he conquered Novgorod and that was named Swedish Scandinavia
As Switzerland control 189 provinces in honour of the Swiss Guard that defended the Papacy.
That, and only using mercenaries.
Best I can do is 99
@@TheRedHawk i got 99 problems but switzerland aint one
THY WILL BE DONE!
@@TheRedHawkew just do world conquest as switzerland instead
As Switzerland, defy the Switzerlake achievment & become the naval hegemon!
"Swiss Cheese" - Have 10 Separate Single Province Nations surrounded by you as Switzerland.
lol that's funny
I like these vids playing the big boys and doing the “intended” stuff
Yeah always my favorite type of A to Z tbh
I still can't get over you having hair. XD Every time I go "Oh right! He stopped the bald cuts."
Got bored of it tbh, I change it up every 2/3 years. I had long hair when I started the channel, buzzed it before I started doing face cam
It looks good bro! Less supervillain, but good
At first I read it as heir and was so confused
@@LOKJAV no no this isn't crusader kings. :D

There’s a Swedish mission that lets you start the league war as the leader of the Protestant league.
Yeah it's funny he never even activated the religious branch in the mission tree. 😅
Totally what the devs intended...

Great Intro! Perfect balance of explaining the plan without giving too much away
"The final nation in season S" half a second before "Switzerland" appears onscreen is *chef's kiss*
With the capitol in the low countries, Scandinavian Scandinavia is just a cursed map tag :D

Did you finally know the answer ?
I thought the Swedish Missions let you trigger the Leagues earlier than normal? The Protestant path of the Branching Missions after "Theologian Discussions".
As Switzerland, become the undisputed best chocolatier in the world by leading the world in Cocoa production, and conquering Brussels!
And own all Cocoa provinces!
As Switzerland, conquer the HRE while not employing a single army. Pure mercenary experience
As Switzerland, gather all gold provinces that are available at the start of the game to become the true hoarder
While you were Emperor, you should have vasselized an elector and switched their electorship to yourself so you'd be kingdom rank when you lose the emperorship
Since Switzerland is notoriously German, French, and Italian, own Paris, Berlin, and Rome while also making France, Austria, and Venice not exist (they're the strongest nations of these cultures at the start)
the 20 provinces in poland was the alternative in the "one of these must be true" block.
As Switzerland:
1.) dominte/monopolize the Chocolate trade! Conquer all starting provinces that produce Cocoa.
2.) vassalize Brussel, the lesser chocolate.
3.) all while maintaining their republic and, of course, merc only
Haven’t played Sweden in forever. Thanks for the new campaign idea!
EU4: Age: 52
Red Hawk: It doesn't say his age
EU4: Disappointed cricket fan
Switzerland, mercs only. Take merc ideas first, and take/fully upgrade the Malbork Castle. And for true pain, own all mountain provinces in Europe.
