I think it's somewhere In another chip or like an unwritable sector in a memory space, but still.. how could it keep it in the memory.. mh.. maybe a memorycard-like structure inside the PS2 to store audio and the program..?
whoa man this is way to good! this is one of the more realistic ones I've seen recently, the one thing i might change is the use of clip art and have playstation 2 stylized art to make it seem more authentic.
Wait what- I read the description and… How was this made in MS Paint?! This looks waaaay too good! Like, it actually looks legitimate, and the voiceover was a nice touch. This was actually awesome! Keep up the good work! Would love to see more anti-piracy stuff and kill screens from you.
Just like the PS2 menus in general as well as the memory card save data screen, this video, including 1:26-2:49, are very relaxing since they have no music.
This is really good, but there are a few things that make this less realistic. First off I would like to say the effects and menu feels really realistic, and you did a good job on it. And I would say instead of a talking voice, make it on text as it would have been more realistic. Then when it asks you what ps2 model you have, it can't just update itself to have the ps2 slim, and same with the TOS, the console can't update. But still pretty good. 8/10
This is very awesome! Looks like this really could be real! And for it all to be done on MS Paint is extremely impressive. The only thing I think would have been kinda better is if at the end, the RSOD sound was there instead, since it'd make it more creepy and scare whoever pirated the games more.
Looks great. That’s a 10/10. I was thinking I should do a GameCube Hardware check video. But still, it looks great, despite that if you modify your console to play pirated games, you won’t run into this screen, it will just send you to the RSOD
6:44 bruh how can you get arrested for modifying hardware, I mean yes, pirating isn't legal in several countries (my country doesn't give a shit about piracy). but for some modifiers and boost-ups? Damn bro, they aren't joking around.
And I thought the previous video was good enough! This is *way* better! Especially using a voice tutorial before the check, which really intrigued me. May I ask, if you chose the Origianl FAT model of the PS2, would it still run the same as the process as the SLIM model? I'm sure I remember an image of the serial number and SCPH model number of a FAT model being used in the original video, would that show up instead of the one used for the SLIM model, and would any other steps be accounted for? But nonetheless! Amazing editing! I love the way you put this! And nice game choices for when it was showing the games that was illegally pirated~
"May I ask, if you chose the Origianl FAT model of the PS2, would it still run the same as the process as the SLIM model?" Yes. The same process will run for the original FAT models.
I know this is a fan made, i enjoyed the concept of the system checker but there are a lot of nonsense with the realization. I'm not trying to spit on your hard work, no, I just want to share my nerd point of view of this "hardware checker". This can also be used as reference for your future videos (or videos of someone else) [NERD VOCABULARY ALERT] - the voice ? Any manufacturer must make sure that their products can be used by deaf people. That's not the case here - This PS2 is supposed to be a 70000 series, which are actually slim models. then why did you select "fat" ? And why did the console showed "correct" ? - the overclocking check is pointless. Because the PS2 cannot be overclocked. The EE clock speed is not controlled by software - "irregular data stored in the BIOS". A BIOS is often read only or not writable through software, in other terms, you would need to access the BIOS chip physically and reverse engineer it to understand its protocols and also decode the stored data on it and so, re-write it. Which is terrifyingly difficult - goofy ahh skull and police car pictures. - the modded save data check is once again, useless. The PS2 cannot detect if a game's save data has been modified. (It would have been correct if the PS2 stored hidden hashes of every save so it can run a checksum while loading the saves from memory cards then compare them with the stored ones) - "the PS2 will be unusable". No I don't think so. The worst it can do is to give a scary warning then shutdown the console. (Yes, it has shutdown and reboot commands !) The PS2 can't fry a component on purpose, since voltage / clock speeds are not controlled by software. (It would have been true if the PS2 had an efuse on the CPU 3.3V lane. The efuse blows up and it's no more powered) - the PS2 cannot detect pirated games without the disc because it doesn't keep an history of the played discs. Any mod would bypass that anyway. In the case that the PS2 has a boot check, it would be easily be bypassed with that famous DVD patcher - fan overclock ??! It's dumb... but true in some way: those installed in the PS2 are using a basic PWM signal. The yellow wire is actually the clock, for the pulse modulation (thus PWM) - Intel core 2 duo. .. I don't even know what to say at this point. It's an x64 CPU ! The PS2 uses the MIPS IV architecture! What about heat dissipation ? This tiny fan would never be able to cool it down. And the power supply would stop because of overpowering - Silent fans ? Is this a rip-off of Onlyfans and Silent hill ? The PS2 doesn't have an internal built in microphone - unofficial PS2 recorder ? Not precise enough. Is it software or hardware? The EE wouldn't handle an internal recorder, it's too intensive and it wouldn't detect an external one (capture cards for example) - your actions have been reported to sony. The PS2 doesn't have wifi and 1% of people uses RJ45. Sony themselves know it would be useless to do that - the hardware checker as a whole is just a bad idea. If it's a modded console with matrix infinity (like the depicted PS2 in the video), these kind of mods are actually microchips which run before the PS2 boots up, this means that any protection feature installed by the manufacturer would be bypassed even before it loaded, just like youtube ad blockers Whoa. That was long to write. Thank you to everyone who read that far

Yes. I just picked random games that I have had fond memories of (No, I did not pirate them, I actually had a legit physical copy of them, and I still have my copy of Burnout Revenge).
What if the hardware detector can't detect a single CMOS battery, after taking apart the ps2, remove the CMOS battery, turning on the ps2 after removing the modifications as a way to bypass the "permanently disabled" screen, also, the report only works when you have your ps2 connected to the internet Yes, I know it's fake

I saw the game called in this video is the simpsons hit and run
Yes. I just picked random games that I have had fond memories of (No, I did not pirate them, I actually had a legit physical copy of them, and I still have my copy of Burnout Revenge).
I wish this was real just because pirating that game should get you on death row.
Ok I am 100% convinced this is real😮
6:18 damn thats a spec out ps2
Can you make the good ending
I know why you pirated nascar thunder 2004, to win every time in career
What if the hardware detector can't detect a single CMOS battery, after taking apart the ps2, remove the CMOS battery, turning on the ps2 after removing the modifications as a way to bypass the "permanently disabled" screen, also, the report only works when you have your ps2 connected to the internet
Yes, I know it's fake
Bruh “Nore in the warning screen” its really fake
Fantastic
PS2 Good ending
playstation/PS2/Dont-Modify-Me
I appreciate this but in reality the checks would’ve already been done and your console would’ve been detected as modified
i dont understand why people make these like whats the point
"good honest people are being robbed out of their money and hard work every single second piracy occurs" nice joke
It's true
