NCAA Football was an American video game series developed by EA Sports in which players control and compete against current Division I FBS college teams. The series is a younger brother to the Madden NFL series.
In July 2013, the NCAA announced that it would not renew its licensing contract with Electronic Arts because of an ongoing legal dispute regarding using player likenesses in the games. However, this contract only covers using the NCAA name and related logos, not those of individual schools and conferences, which are negotiated individually or through the Collegiate Licensing Company. The CLC concurrently announced that it would extend its existing licensing deal with EA through 2017, ensuring that EA Sports could continue the series without the NCAA branding. However, the series was placed on hiatus in September 2013, following three major conferences pulling their trademark licenses from EA, and uncertainties surrounding the results of lawsuits involving the use of player likenesses in-game. However, EA Sports is still making an attempt to get the series back going.
Players' real names and exact likenesses are not used in the game. While the Madden NFL series uses real player names and likenesses, those players are compensated for the use of their image. Due to NCAA restrictions on the amateur status of athletes, names are not allowed. Additionally, current college players cannot be used as cover athletes. Instead, each cover features a player whose college eligibility ended the season before the game's release, wearing his former college uniform. The only two exceptions have been the Wii version of NCAA Football 09, which featured Sparty, the mascot of Michigan State University, on the cover, and NCAA Football 06 when Desmond Howard was featured on the cover striking the Heisman Trophy pose during his career at Michigan, despite not playing for Michigan for more than 15 years.
Although EA Sports does not claim that the players in the game represent real life players, the jersey number, position, height, weight, home state, and ethnicity are aligned with the real players. Fans of any particular team are sure to recognize their favorite players (for example, in NCAA Football 2014, University of North Carolina Tar Heels QB #2 would correspond to QB Bryn Renner). Actual usage of a player's real name would be in violation of the NCAA's policy regarding student-athletes. Amateur "roster makers" will often manually associate player names and will upload a roster file to the built-in roster sharing system. As of the 09 release, EA has put in the EA Locker feature which allows remote roster sharing online through either Xbox Live or PlayStation Network depending on the console.

Anyone else keep getting roughing the kicker penalties ?
I got three in one game… Texas A&M vs LSU… every time they got a penalty LSU then went and scored on me smh

Yeah man best thing to do is to just pick a regular defense. You'll avoid coming even close to the kicker and you're prepared in case the CPU on some fake go for it type BS lol
Yea, the computer kept on blasting my kicker so I have no problem with it 😂
I already said once they started to update the game it wouldn’t play right and this update was not good for the game
Ruined my sliders
This update created a couple more problems I've noticed that make me want to not play so much right now until they fix it.
Scoreboard disappears when using coach cam in game and incoming freshman don't show up in the position changes menu on National Signing Day. All of them too, and ATH players get assigned to their default positions, which sucks because if you switch their positions in the edit player menu, they take an awareness hit and get their overalls lowered by quite a bit. Hopefully they fix it sooner than later, cause it is a very annoying issue and not just a minor inconvenience.

Put the defense to high
They ruined RTG defenses are way to OP now. My 94 overall scrambling QB gets hawked down by a 300LBS defense tackle now on the regular. Playing in Heisman is a death sentence, I get wanting to make it more challenging but you don’t make it challenging by making it unfair. And I’ve beaten every single Fromsoftware game so I think I know a bit about hard but fair.
Ppl complain, and they patched the game for no reason.
@@InspireRise300 exactly it was perfect before now it just feels like madden with defenses making insane plays, and my offensive AI being braindead.

@@InspireRise300 that too before I feel like my star WRs could easily beat Press man coverage and get a step over the DB, now the star WR is getting pressed by a 79OVR DB and than when my WR does beat the DB the DB will dolphin dive and smack the ball out the air or tip it so it gets picked, or outright pick the ball off.

This update SOUNDS GOOD.
But has made the game FAR WORSE and way more glitchy.
Example… you restart your dynasty and your players rating are normal. Change your playbooks and their ratings drop (in some cases) depending on your playbook. Change it back and the don’t change back.
Oh, and the DL no matter how lowly rated are unblockavle.
And playing the computer the AI defenders TELEPORT into wide open running lanes (that don’t happen often AND through your receivers for the pick.
As bad as the game was they somehow made it FAR WORSE
I also hate home field advantage at times. You can't even change the plays at times if the crowd noise is max which is the DUMBEST thing in this game. I dont mind if the routes are wobbly and the WRs buttons have a "?". But not being able to change your play is mad stupid.
Every defense plays like a PAC12 defense
I tried to give ea a chance , but why can u still drop back 20 yards and throw a frozen rope, crazy
College football is high scoring so it’s pretty realistic

Eric u probably wont see this but this update ruined the game cpu qbs are trash now only short throws no deep or 3 level passing anymore also no trajectory, throws atleast 2 picks a game, DL is wayyyy over powerd, tackles aren't as clean abunch of glitching, and I can name more plz talk to your buddies at ea
When I make touchdowns the ball dances and my player disappears. The football also spikes itself!!! 😂😂😂
I was really excited in the run up to this. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy it but there are so many things that are wrong with it. It’s almost like they never quality tested it.
Stupid little things like the season 1 objectives not tracking properly, solo battles missing for so long and the typically, very much expected, EA pay to win as the so called “offers” in Ultimate Team are designed purely for those happy to waste real money.
Other glitches in the game including, on one occasion, skipping downs and also an AI opponent intercepted me in their own end zone for a touchback and then the ball was placed at their 2 yard line for the restart rather than the 20. Things like this just take away from the enjoyment of the game.
Also ai cbs jump in front of everything down field🤦🏿 cpu rbs/wrs dont do any skill moves anymore tackling is sloppy and kinds buggy now hopefully we can get some of this fixed fr
Most drives if I'm using the no huddle offense my guard will lineup on top of the center and the ball will be fumbled on the snap.

Players dont progress in dynasty mode anymore had a freshman elite grow 1 overall after winning the heisman.
Main concern for me is the Rosters..... Still not fixed, i know my Hurricanes are missing several key or starters specially on defense.... Yes and pursuit angles are still bad especially playing against the A.I. after this update
Well if the players never signed there’s nothing they can do about that
I'm one of the ones who purchase the gm for straight up head to head no online dynasties or purchasing player cards or upgrades... Its matters to me

Not all players have a high pursuit rating which is why some are better than others, check the players ratings out. Same with tackling.
They took out the ability to edit/create players in dynasty mode. Tried to refund the game and just stick with CF revamped.

Did this update have to do with any of the players attributes? I all of a sudden can run haha I have only been playing less than a week but still The Don (Donivan Edward) all of a sudden has moves, I knew they were hidden. Not a fan at all of the new kicking system will definitely be going for it on 4th........ to many shanks in a day will make this game go away!
