i like that tom smiles whenever he snaps in "hey, i don't work here"; it almost feels like a customer service smile

The two things I love about the tom cardy song that I don't know if you noticed is how when he snaps you hear a ticking time bomb and then an explosion, and also the joke when he says "relieve that nasty sting for you" and he's eating asparagus with the intent of pissing on him
Just two things I thought were funny
Considering how Tom Cardy makes his songs, he prolly used a microwave.

what does eating asparagus mean
@@theincarnateofkurro apparently asparagus makes you piss alot or smth, so he's eating it so he can piss on them
I love how when Tom Cardy is showing off the dirty singlet, it says "For a good time Call Your Mother".
7:26 - in case you didn't get this reference, when he says "I'll help relieve that nasty sting for you", it's a commonly held belief if you pee on a jellyfish sting on someone, it will negate the effects of the sting (I think the belief has since been proven wrong, though)
So, he guzzles the Gatorade bottle down (so he has enough pee) and eats asparagus so when he pees, his pee will smell horrible, just to make the Dad's day even worse. :P

and the guy has a bluebottle (jellyfish) across his chest, kind of like a foreshadowing
As per usual, all Tom Cardy songs revolve around something happening to him and him making a song out of it.
"My foresight readies me for melee" -> This is a reference to D&D ability foresight that let's you see a little bit into the future.. so he prepares to fight the dude :D
Never been mistaken for a worker, on the other hand every vacation I went to as a child had my dad getting confused for a museum worker/custodian/theme park employee etc. He also always tried to help so maybe he was.
Hey I Dont Work Here has IMMACULATE early00s one-hit-wonder energy. And somehow pairs it with late 2010s humor amazingly well. And im here for it

I just so happen to have a lime shirt that is similar to the old shop uniform. It doesn't have a badge or anything, just similar, but I get stopped so many times.

I really love Hey I Don't Work Here cause everyone is rude to the main character when they assume he works there so like yeah, if he did work there, why would he want to help you anyway? People who treat people like crap because they assume they're employees are so annoying.

Hi, I've yet to view the whole video, so you may well remember the name of the instrument later in it, but just in case: the name of the instrument that looks like the result of an unholy matrimony between a bagpipe and a piano is the melodica 🙂

Dang! You missed the joke where Tom Cardy implied that he wanted to piss all over the guy asking him to save his kid from drowning. To be fair it is a little obtuse.
To be fair you can appreciate that joke more only if you know that bluebottle is how the man-of-war jellyfish is called in Australia. So of course the asparagus-eating and pissing is related to the bluebottle sting
One could infer it by the giant bluebottle picture superimposed onto the father's chest in the video.

Have you ever thought about looking at older comedy music songs? Like Tom Lehrer or Allan Sherman? Or if you want music videos to look at, more recent stuff like Axis of Awesome or the Key of Awesome's stuff?
The thing is, I've already heard/seen most of that before I started this show. I have all of Tom Lehrer's albums, and I've heard most of Allan Sherman's stuff too. I even had checked out most of Axisnof Awesome and Key of Awesome's stuff before they both stopped. If there ever is something older I've missed I'll check it out here if I can, but usually this show is for new stuff...or at least new to me.
Imagine pausing after every single joke and you still don't catch the jellyfish sting asparagus joke.

Never heard of these guys but im pretty oblivious to most non nerd core things, nice thing about randomly watching your vids when im bored xD, speaking of nerd core though you may like mettaton medley by man on the internet, makes more sense if you know parts of undertale(or watch his musical series in full) but you dont 100% need to in order to enjoy it, this might be the most comedic song out of his undertale the musical lineup but its also probably one of my personal favs. ruclips.net/video/egwmc6E2r04/видео.html (and if you so happen to want to react to his full undertale the musical I suggest using the full length one he put together and either streamin it or snipping it up, since it has songs that were takin down for copyright issues for some reason(Berguntrukin, metal crusher, and one other I forget) but thats enough of my essay- Have a nice day Ian.

@@Insaneian Besides hearing his name occasionally nope, never checked his stuff really and eventually just forgot about him altogether. If I wanted to find somethin I usually had to find it myself and no one really recommended things to me so I stuck to mostly game related stuff. How i found you really was from you being maybe one of the only people who I genuinely enjoy watching a stupendium reaction from who himself makes songs based off games XD.
@@shiroyuki9360 I highly recommend you check out some of his stuff. He doesn't really do game songs, but he's the most well-known comedy musician in the world and a huge influence on my work. Look into "White and Nerdy", "Word Crimes" and "Hardware Store" to start...

Al didn't write this song, so....it's not a Weird Al song.
I mean, he performed it, and it's not credited to anyone else so...technically it is a Weird Al Song...just not one written by him.
Like...Polka Patterns from Square One TV is technically a Weird Al song, despite Al not having written it.

I guess most artists don't write their own songs but we always think of it as that artist's song.
I think this song bugs me because they should have hired Al to write it. He would have written a much better song. It kinda sucks that people think he wrote such a mediocre song.
