Glad to see you making youtube videos again! Really appreciate all the tutorials. Would it be possible to get one on "black and red" by Citizen off the new album? Some of those fills break my brain a bit lol.

Can you do a tutorial for Mardy Bum? I would really appreciate it!
I know this isn’t rly up your alley but the opening to Fullmetal Alchemist (“Golden Time Lover) would be a pretty interesting track to break down.
Hello. I would be so excited if you would do a Smashing Pumpkins "Hummer" lesson. I think it has interesting hard and afterwards melodic drums combo and I've also found your channel through your amazing Smashing Pumpkins "Cherub rock" lesson! :)
I would love if you would do some more blink 182. any chance on "time to break up" or "everytime I look for you" ? Your videos are unreal bro. lots of love ❤❤

On how you’re recording
Your drum audio??
I just switched from Pro Tools to Reaper which I’m really enjoying (plus you could use a free evaluation copy forever if you want to).
I’m taking MIDI out of the TD-17 into my Focusrite Scarlett and then that’s triggering Steven Slate Drums in Reaper. That’s just one way to use the TD-17 for recording, there are plenty of other (less expensive) options.
@@LearnSomeDrums not at all confusing
@@Bigmoneydougey Pro Toold and Reaper are different software you can get for editing recorded music on a computer.
I’m assuming the TD-17 is the electronic drum kit he’s using. You plug that into the Focusrite Scarlet box which lets you choose the sensitivity (basically volume) of the input from the drums. Too sensitive and you’ll get “clipping” of the sound waves and will lose quality. It also lets you record other instruments or microphones which you’ll need if you have a normal acoustic drum kit.
That then gets plugged into the laptop where he can mix it to get a more precise sound.
If you have an acoustic kit be careful what type of Focusrite box you get. They have a range of number of inputs at a range of price points. You can get a decent sound with 2 mics but you might want more than that too. Google how to record drums and you’ll find different methods of micing a drum kit
@@oisin1715 I understand all that, I record my own stuff with drums and all other instruments with audio interfaces and all that but I don’t understand how he has audio and video
Could you please do ocean Avenue by yellow card
Can you do more System of a down ?
For sure I will. I love working out SOAD drum parts 🥁
Is that the TD17KVX?
Just a TD17KV but I got a GOE Drum Hi Hat controller as a little upgrade.
