They’re super close. Tablo, yoongi and namjoon especially. Tablo lurks on army twitter a lot, he knows everything we’re doing 😂 it’s so funny sometimes.
I believe calling it “Irish B**b” is a negative connotation that referenced something bad that happened in Ireland so some people call them Irish Slammers instead.
Also wanted to say Epik High and Tablo specifically went through a LOT. To give context about why they got a lot of hate it wasn’t just the idol rapper stuff,,,, There’s videos on youtube taking about it but it was really bad for Tablo back then accusing of him of faking his Standford degree and stuff which was totally untrue but that whole scandal really put Epik High and Tablo through a hard time, like tens of thousands of people telling him to leave Korea and stuff. And it was all proved untrue and they had to get the police involved and everything it was so crazy.
But I really respect Epik High and love their music,, if you listen to their stuff you’ll be like oh yeah I can tell how much BTS were inspired by them. And it’s so heartwarming that Yoongi and Joon are good friends with them now 💜
yoongi and namjoon have said a lot of times that epik high and them listening to the song "fly" was one of the main reasons that inspired them to get into music, they mentioned them a lot in their earlier songs especially like hiphop phile and one of their 2cool4skool skits, in the indigo album magazine film namjoon even said that the line "we know we fly all day" at the end of the song was referring to the epik high song.. yoongi has two collabs with tablo/epik high like he mentioned here, one is called "song request" with lee sora that tablo helped writing and another is "eternal sunshine" which is an epik high song, both released in 2019
this ep is definitely one of my faves so far i knew it was gonna be such an interesting conversation with tablo and yoongi and it exceeded my expectations, i knew tablo was close with them but i didn't know this close honestly i'm happy the have each other and i can really see why namgi love them and the impact they had on them and their music just looking at those few snippets of lyrics shown throughout the ep
I have been Tablo fan where back when he was on the KBS variety show with his daughter Haru.He is indeed a good affection father to his daughter,filial son to his parents and a good family man.Too bad those accusation that being thrown at him years ago almost ruin his career and image.I am glad he can stand up on his feet again.
no your memory is right..they used the term irish bomb in bon voyage malta. it is also known as irish slammer or dublin drop which is a a cocktail made by dropping a bomb shot of Irish cream and whiskey into a glass of Irish stout. Tablo earned the name "Haru appa" because he and his daughter Haru appeared in a show called The Return Of Superman...btw, i think the next guest is Lee Sungmin the actor who is also from Daegu like Yoongi. i remember his face because i watched his recent drama reborn rich💜
Tablo doesn't age.. he still looks so boyish eventhough he has a teenage daughter Haru.. She's also a very smart girl...

Both icons. You can easily tell that bts are very musically influenced by them. And now Epik Hugh is a fan of bts.
There is nothing greater than having a person you admired as as a youth be a fan of you when you are an adult.
I think black and white areas can also imply that some people try so hard to classify bts' music into categories like k-pop, hip hop, rap,... and when bts released English singles or entered the western music industry, this debate got much bigger. People even try to classify bts rapline into either idols or rappers. They simply just won't accept bts' music for itself and bts as artists (gray area).
Being in the same age bracket as Tablo, I really enjoyed this and understood much of what he was saying. I did laugh at your response to him being at school at 13. We’re GenX. I was on a plane to Germany by myself at 14. Only the strong survived 🤣😂, welcome to our world. I agree with you about the grey area comment. That was a very deep point to make.
Lee Sung Min is one of my favorite actors. He was excellent in the recent kdrama Reborn Rich.

Not sure if someone else answered this, but as for the Irish Bomb thing.. I think it's basically out of respect & sensitivity. I think the original name was Irish car bomb, which was basically a reference to the conflict between Catholics and Protestants in Ireland that lasted into the 1990s. There were violent attacks from both sides in Northern Ireland for many years, and it was also an issue in England as well.
As far as I can tell, they've updated the drink name, again, out of respect for those lost to and affected by the violence. 💜
