- "Backfired" is a story of a lost/toxic relationship that was written in multiple cities and crosses multiple genres. The song was originally written and recorded in Nashville, TN, then later mixed in Orlando, FL. 408 and Taylor Acorn wanted to write a pop country/pop punk crossover song that told the story of a lost love in the beautiful city of Nashville. The song became an emotional gut spilling duet.

Yea i usually am a fan of the short-and-to-the-point pop song but this one leaves me wanting more. A nice bridge and then bring back the chorus with some extra guitar overdubs at the end
