I just don’t know where he should go from here. 155 seems like a bad idea. 145 is a mess for him. I guess if he could somehow clear the division so there’s no one else for Volk to fight, but even then that would be unheard of. He’d have to make some real style change or something. The only thing even funnier than Adesanya wrestling Pereira to a victory would be if Izzy tried a takedown thinking he's flipping the script on Alex á la Ngannou vs Gane, but instead just gets instantly locked into the smoothest guillotine ever and Glover is just laughing and rubbing his hands in Alex's corner.
I'm a big Max fan. He's from my home state of Hawaii and I like his fighting style. I knew Volk was gonna win (I believed he had his number) but watching Max get picked apart like that was depressing.
I can't wait for Pereira to flatline Izzy again and solidify once and for all that the MW division is the worse in the UFC, only male division where a guy from a completely different sport with sub 10 MMA fight experience can get this far. Middleweight is such an easy way for goat status if you’re a striker reach merchant with decent take down defence. Izzy is amazing but he literally has 5 title defences just cruising against these guys lol. Compared to LW, FW, WW where anyone can beat anyone on any given night
MW is the perfect division full of meat heads. The reason why Kelvin did so well was because he was the only guy who used his brain. Whittaker tried to fight smart, but was a little scared to let go in the beginning because he got caught in the first fight, when he was being a meat head and rush him.
