Nothing that comes out of the mouths of these deeply progressive individuals surprises me anymore. I do admit to some disappointment at hearing it out of Allred because despite the fact that I disagree with her about just about everything I have previously had respect for her. When anyone outright lies such as she did over the Florida legislation erroneously labeled the “Don’t Say Gay Bill” it tarnishes them irrevocably.

You can tell she doesnt believe it, shes only reiterating what shes heard or been told to say to oppose Larry. It makes no sense. 10 year old girls dont even start a period, let alone get raped and pregnant. A very small percentage, maybe this unlikely scenario unfortunate as it is might happen. The Governor of Ohio said the little girl could have gotten the abortion in Ohio under these circumstances. She did not have to go across state lines, which isn’t far. They are next to each other and small states. There isn’t a state that doesn’t make allowances for medical emergencies. Gloria is also wrong about the bill in Florida.
What happened to using birth control or abstaining, to avoid abortion?

I can't watch that lying woman. That 10 year old was never going to be made to carry that baby to term. Her mother just didn't want her boyfriend to be arrested for what he was doing to her child, so she went to another state in an attempt to avoid reporting her boyfriend. Her plan got messed up because someone wanted to use her child for political purposes. End of story.

Wow, does this lady lie. So glad Elder calls her on it! Bait and switch, for the most part, repub don't want it federal law. (1)The girl was raped by an illegal alien and IF they had reported it to stop him, she WOULD have been able to get an abortion in IN, and not reporting it is a problem. (2) ANY case based on Roe would need to be relooked at, to clarify it. (3) Roe was decreeing what is human and deserves rights when you say it is based on the 14th amendment, EXACTLY why Dred Scott had to be overturned (and the SAME ones supporting one, supported the other)

Pregnancy is a consequence of sex. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. The baby shouldn't be punished for the actions of others. Every state has abortion available for a woman who's life is in danger. Rape and incest make up 0.048% of abortions. The court was just according to the constitution.
Allred is being disingenuous. Loving was not substantative due process, which is the ultimate difference. As well as her lie about the Florida education law. It says nothing about not saying gay.
Pregnancy is the consequence of sex, but it shouldn't be viewed as a punishment. Another consequence of birthing a child is death.
If being a Republican were more lucrative, Newsome would be one, too. His mind sways in the direction of a cash sign.

@@leonevelake Law in OH is that a raped kid can get an abortion, but they apparently did not want to report the 27 year old illegal immigrant. The dr in IN (where I am from) reported it and did the abortion, but reported that he was 17, a minor. And many here want to indict her- but the papers omit the discrepancy in age/citizenship reported to insist she is totally innocent, but no longer use it so often in the proabortion debate, at least

I heard several Ohio officials say that the 10 year old could've got the abortion in Ohio. I'm a retired nurse. There's privacy between women and their doctors, before Roe vs Wade.

I really like these forums and hope to see many more of them. Both Debaters did a great job, but it is very difficult to defend the policies and wants of the left. In most issues, I think it's much easier to defend the right. And it truly shows when there's a debate and the left isn't trying to shut it down.

Yes, Gloria, states can outlaw abortion and then the people of that state can get that law changed. The people of the state have that power and legal means within the state.

How many options are there to prevent pregnancy? With the exception of rape there are options to prevent pregnancy and there is abstinence before marriage or get married after the fact. It's about being responsible.

Marriage is pre-constitutional and fundamental to society. Government was only involved to the degree that children, which only heterosexual couples can create, are involved, and which is why the institution needed to be redefined to make procreation irrelevant. Interracial marriage was rooted in racism, it never redefined marriage. People like Allred know this, which is why she can barely look at Larry when she speaks.

Nevertheless, Allred is wrong. She is either purposely deceitful or negligent. A lawyer with no integrity is simply an ambulance chaser. She would probably be more respected if she was forthright about her activist agenda rather than foolishly trying to play the moral superiority card.

I think the vast majority of Americans, including conservatives, are in favor of allowing abortions in cases where the health of the mother is at risk or rape/incest. The little girl should have been allowed to have an abortion on the grounds that a pregnancy is very dangerous for a 10 year old to have to carry full term. That said, I'm pretty sure the 10 year old could have gotten the abortion in Ohio on these grounds.

If I was a member of the media I'd make sure not to listen to anyone that agrees with me on issues before doing my show because all these people sound cliche and hilarious.
