- Finishing up the silage season bagging corn silage. Bagging with a Roto-Press bagger and using our John Deere 4055 & John Deere 4250. #farming #silage #agriculture #equipment #johndeere #dairyfarm
It's a lot of volume that fits in that silage bag with the press. Amazing. Great video!
Thank you. It's a nice bagger for sure
Always handy when the automatic hitch is home from school👍
Always great to have him there. He is really a big help
This is Why i love The old JDs! Impressed over The bagge whit a screw!
They are great old tractors
Rotopress are probably the easiest bagging machines to use. I have run Ag Bag and Kelly Ryan's, and the cables can be buggers. They can even abraid the bag and cause a hole if you aren't careful. Great video, Mike!
I've heard that, I've never used an ag bag or kelly ryan. I've only used a roto-press. I do like this bagger
The bag saves a lot time and effort. Great to see your shadow learning👍👍
Its great having him out there, he is a big help
Another excellent video mike keepp them coming I appreciate the best equipment and operrators
Thank you Scott. I'm glad you enjoy the videos
I have a VERA BAGGER it also has no back stop !! It has a cable that drags through the silage & brakes on the wheels!! Very easy to use!!
Sounds easy to use like this bagger
Nice to see you getting prepped with some Cow Chow. Have a great week Mike.
Thank you. Its good to get all stocked up for the winter
You’re probably my favorite podcast 😊
Hmm, maybe I should start a podcast. Think of how many umms and ahhs I can say in an hour long podcast!
@ have people guess how many at the beginning, then start a counter. Closest guess wins Mikep7810 hat, t-shirt, and koozie 😃
@@dembeckfarms Haha, that's a good idea
Great job Mike!!!!
Thank you Chris
Always great videos
Thank you John
Great harvesting weather this fall
Oh yeah, this weather has been great this fall
Great video as always Mike
Thank you Todd
That's an awesome bagger
I really like it
Great video Mike your video’s make my day!
Thank you Glen. I'm glad you enjoy the videos
Great vid!
Thank you Gene
Makes me wanna be a farmer....
It can be stressful but very rewarding
@mikep7810 if people took care of AG and farmers like they do sportsball players, it would take a lot of stress out of it.
@@kdoggie90 The stress is what makes the good times so rewarding!
Good work sir.. stay safe 🏴
Thank you Ian
I can't believe you don't have an automatic hitch on that chopper!
They would work well on the flat when we are chopping corn but I'd be nervous when we are on the hills chopping haylage
no doubt your dad knows how to fill a wagon makes it worth the trip
I think he used every last inch of space
Awesome vid 👍so that's what it looks like probably to late but a walk around bagger machine would be great never seen one be4
How many loads to a bag?ton?
Looks like you've got reasonable weather
Take care cheers
Thank you. I'm glad you liked the video. We have been very fortunate to be having great weather for harvest. As far as how many loads to the bag, it depends on the length of your bag, how tight you are packing it
always wondered how those baggers worked bet that screw gets hot
Possibly
Looks like the Wrapper was well used this year, did you get to bale any 4th cutting??
Yes, we got a lot of bales wrapped this year. No, we never got the 4th cutting
👀🙄🐾👍
Thank you Jim
The back windows needs too be cleaned
@@bradtokarz6594 Good thing I cleaned it in this video.
not much green in that corn will it pack ok
Yeah it packed fine
Imagine if you can close that bag up like a big ziplock bag, sandwich for the cows. Yum yum. Do you have much trouble with these bags freezing solid in the winter?
There's actually a zip lock for silage bags! It's in 2 parts, a rail and a strip that fits into the rail. Reusable, if you are careful.
@MorganOtt-ne1qj cool I never knew that. I never actually bagged silage.... Most of the neighbors do but we have always had enough silo space. Thank you for the info.
@anthonyhengst2908 I don't remember the name of the product, but I know that it came in 50 & 100' rolls. Pretty tough, and definitely beat using 2X4s to seal the end. Still had to knot up the back end, the zip strips wouldn't take the pressure of starting the bag.
H and s wagon manufactor in Marshfield Wisconsin
They are great wagons
It's not a Mikep7810 without taking a good sniff of the crop! Bring on the smell-o-vision.
Haha you are going to have to find a video of me spreading manure and make sure I don't do the same!
@@mikep7810 Bahaha! But still, cow manure is great! Better than fabric softener.
