I live in ooty and am getting my Nexon EV delivered tomorrow. I keep an eye for all EV in the hills and I am absolutely certain I saw you driving down from gempark to charring cross when I was walking with my dog in the evening a couple of weeks ago.

Its great to have a small EV community and come across like this.
My wife is saying she had also noticed someone with his dogs on the streets.
We also have pet so my wife always keeps a side eye for dogs or pets in general

Thanks for your video. I almost purchased Nexon ev but after this video I canceled my delivery. It is pathetic that after paying 16 lac, we need to worry about car will reach to destination or not. Mysore ooty distance is not much and as TATA claims vehicle should cover this distance very easily but same is not practically happening. Who will take headaches after paying so much. Thanks this video saved me.

I'm planning an EV trip on the same route. I think it should make it comfortably with one top up in Mysore (150+150). Let's see how it goes. 🤞

So completed the Blore to ooty run. The Blore Mysore expressway is awesome. Did a full charge at Mysore mall and Took the 36 hair pin route. The only issue I found was high watt hour (152) on the uphill.

Btw topping up 15-30 % and moving fw does it effect on charging cycle or not?

@@amitabhchanda i drive around ktm and my wh is always 140-150 when I get down to 100 to 30%

@@wannabe_D7000 see what I understood, EVs are designed like mobile phones. In the night before you go to sleep put it on charge. Morning it’s ready. Having said this. For a long trip topup works. In this trip I came back via Coimbatore and used this technique to save time. But I won’t suggest this as a regular practice since it effects the battery health.

Situation like this does concern, but don't be panic on road. Just think of what possibly can go worse and what are the options have in hand and then start planning way out of that situation.

Still India is not yet ready for evs lots of tension once you go on a long drive.First an ample network of charging stations need to be setup than normal charging time of evs should also b less.Othewise no point to go for an ev to just drive within city limits and get anxiety going on long runs

    • @distortedbreeze2174
      @distortedbreeze2174  2 года назад

Actually sir. We must solve any problem to around 95% use case
For me city drive constitutes around 99% of my drive which is getting served very well.
But I agree we must have better network of chargers

Ev can do anything bro don't worry just not Nexon ev i have Nexon ev and been loving the drive but i use it for city use only if I have to travel i myself prefer flights. So far I have driven 12k in 10 months and boy it's super savings i bought when I had all benifits of subsidies so for me Nexon ev is best i can understand for some people who wish to travel long they can wait for next gen or a 2 more years. But i do travel Mumbai Pune frequently and once you know all charging points it's very easy my lonavala trip is like very easy with friends as it is very cheap to travel in this car.

Bro, which dealer is best for buying nexon ev or max in Bangalore?

  • @TheFourthWinchester

You convinced me not to buy an EV. Was considering the Tiago EV.

Lets see, a car with zero resale value, whose range decreases every day due to battery degradation, and costs 5 lakh more than the base petrol version of the Nexon. Considering 15 kmpl and fuel cost of 110 Rs/l, you could have brought enough petrol for 68000 kms and sold the vehicle after 10-15 years to get at least 50 % of the original cost back. EVs are just a poor investment unless your daily driver is an SUV that gives you single digit fuel economy.

  • @surajhk31

This is why we don't buy ev yet.
