What always upsets and confuses me about these types of stories is how long these people are able to get away with things and how successful they are. Yes, sometimes, justice and karma catches up with them. But here we are following all the rules, and if we step even slightly out of line they drop the hammer on us. But the liars, cheaters, and con artists 'appear' to have a much easier time of things. I have been trying to get my aircraft registration from the FAA for over a year?!?

Hoover, would you please consider covering the Vultee crash a few years back at 1W1 in Camas, Washington? I’ve looked into that one, and there are some concerning things about it, such as how relatively few hours the now-dead pilot had spread out over decades, and it wasn’t his first time running off the runway, to the left specifically. He nearly killed another person. I haven’t been able to find info on if he had a high power endorsement for an obviously high-powered plane, and though he had an instructor with him the last flight, it doesn’t sound like he always did.
