You are right and you are wrong. The genius of this song as a reflection of Brontë's Wuthering Heights is that Kate Bush geniusly incorporated the empowering, brutal, and beautiful emotions behind the characters.. As Catherine Earnshaw. Not just in the lyrics but through the vocals as a direct reflection of Cathy's volatile personality.

I've never realized that this song could be sung at such a low key and still sound great. The way Kate sung it it felt like it was really coming from a ghost and it was mesmerizing.. In this cover we can notice how beautiful the piano is in this classic. Really great job. Hats off.

Absolutely beautiful! What separates singers from true artists is the ability to make each piece they perform their own. This performance has the nuance, the heart and soul that transcends the other cover versions of this song although some of them are impressive. This is the most moving.

Claire - This is as close to perfection as I've heard. You've taken this difficult, personal piece and made it your own. I have been a devoted Kate Bush fan since I was 17 in 1977, and your interpretation here is one of the best KB cover I have ever heard. You've minimized this otherwise vast piece into a very intimate & vulnerable offering. The quality of the video & sound are superb as well. OverUnderwhelmed Maybe stupid but I feel like kate’s version lacks power of sorts. She uses her naturally high voice and doesn’t thow power behind it which is fine but lacks something for me.

I've heard this song for many years and I never could take it seriously due to the super creepy video and the too high of a register to hear without pain. This version is incredible! Taking it down an octave and slowing it down gave this song a new meaning for me. It has a completely different vibe to it and I am very impressed. Thank you for making this recording.
