Making Conch Salad in Freeport, Grand Bahamas

- While touring Freeport with friends who were locals, we were brought to this amazing road-side stand where this lady graciously gave us the Conch Salad breakdown :) She had mad chopping, and multitasking skills :)
Ive been to the Freeport and really wished i filmed things like this... The people there are so warm I loved it...
Freeport WAS amazing! I have a college friend who was from there and always felt that she was one of the friendliest people I knew! It stands to reason, that the entire culture of Freeport seems to be just the same. VERY polite. Nassau was still nice, but not quite the same :)

This place is in Freeport near the port of call. (It was not the vendors immediately by the ships, but not much further to the South East, if my directions were correct.) I don't remember it having a name. It was an inconspicuous street side booth that a friend (who is a local) showed us so that we could sample some of the authentic local food. Honestly, there was nothing about it that would have drawn my attention to the place, but the lady was so kind and narrated the process so well!
00Blauca you people kill me how you'll throw an insult in with a "compliment..." But I bet you are the hell out of OUR FOOD...

So sad I didn't get to try conch salad on my 2011 trip -I was pregnant. Fortunately had conch salad daily when we were in TCI. I wish there was a conch shack in S. Ca beaches 😍
I say that's just a great excuse to go back to Freeport :)
