Pro gaming tip: if a game unlocks an ability or item to detect invisible enemies, you better buy that immediately because most games are going to throw a million invisible enemies at you. But, not being able to buy the angler fish immediately after realizing your mistake because of the shop slot machine thing is bad game design.
well, the fact that the anglier fish was available at the start of the level was a sign that the game was telling you "you better use this or you will regret it!" All the weapons in this game are randomized on the selection screen, so I think the game developers purpusly made the Anglier Fish available at the begining. So when Blitz decided to not use the anglier fish and realized that he needs it the game was like "nah, you had your chance!" I think that was actually a great game design decision because there were so many weapon options that Blitz can choose from, there was a small chance for the angliar fish to show up again. That made Blitz really apreciate the value the angliar fish had for the game!
