The words of The Lord's Prayer:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory. Forever and ever, Amen.

I'm currently going through a very difficult time and I find myself listening to The Lord's Prayer over and over.
Praying for God's Kingdom to take place on earth should give you much comfort. Imagine the earth restored to perfection with everyone helthy and death done away with forever (Rev. 21:3,4) and best of all those who have died will be ressurected (John 5:28, 28). I can't wait.

I started saying this prayer a few days ago three times a day and i can feel how powerful this prayer is . Sometimes when i forget to pray the last prayer i somehow get reminded to say it before i go to sleep. I will continue with this prayer for as long as i can Thank you Jesus Amen

I have been teaching my little brother this he is 3 almost 4 he knows he pretty well. He know all of it. I have been say it to him ever since he was 4months old and he started say it at the age of 2!

The Lord's Prayer is my favorite & this original version even as a child. It gives me peace & and strength, espec thru trials. I say it spontaneously, not just in the morning, espec if stressed. I have sinned in so many ways, i still take personal pride in what I know to be wrong, I hid behind false thoughts of doing the right thing, for family country and freedom, now that I’m older I realize it was personal glory, a younger man not knowing! Yes! You have to press and cry out to Jesus Christ for forgiveness and repent. It is a daily walk. HE knows everything! HE will not turn anyone away who calls upon Him. Do it now! Open your mouth. And ask Jesus Christ to save your soul to be Lord and Savior I’m your life.

Yes I agree, this is the correct version that I’ve learnt since childhood .
I actually thought I was slipping. I was saying the Lords prayer with a friend and her bible had it with debts. And trespasses with a verse or two after Amen. Which isn't forever and ever no more just forever. If you read a Hebrew Bible you'll pray for God to forgive us All, 😢 so much is changed
@@sitaslifeinparadise - I’m 53, and also was taught trespass instead of debts. I think it was originally debts and debtors and was changed to what we were taught. ❤
They are both in the New Testament.
Debts and debtors are in the King James Version of the Bible and are equally correct

The prayer in the Bible was an example as to what to pray for. The basics of life; food, forgiveness, God's will. You can pray for anything that is in harmony with God’s requirements as stated in the Bible. “No matter what it is that we ask according to [God’s] will, he hears us.” (1 John 5:14) So do you think asking to pray for a court decision is appropriate? That's up to you.
The way I learned it was shorter. I was taught the prayer ended after "but deliver us from evil"

I agree. Can't wait for God's Kingdom to come on earth, when the earth is restored to a Paradise with no more death or sickness or anything plaiting mankind today (REV 21:4). Best ever is seeing our dead loved ones ressurected (John 5:28, 29). So many think they are going to heaven but these Scriptures show the earth will be filled with people.
