You made this incredibly easy to understand and follow. Excellent instructions. I’ve made two dresses now using this video (once you’ve done the pattern it’s a cinch,) and receive tons of compliments on them. Thank you for simplifying and sharing!
Hi Ella thanks for simplifying this pattern , I've see this style about three years ago and fell in love with the dress ,I have seen videos if the tutorial but it was so complicated thanks to u I can now make my dress ,thank u so much, keep up the good works
Love your tutorial but I'd like to know how much did you leave in your spaces or it's up to however much you want? Looks great too. Thanks again for sharing.
Thanks dear. Mine was just the neckline. If you refer a full interface u should cut it with your basic dress pattern. You don’t have to twist on the interface too.
Hello there, I just love your tutorial but I didn't get one thing, After cutting pattern you spread it but how much distance we should keep while spreading? Like 1/2 inch or more? Please mention it so it will be more clear to make this pattern. And end result is just awesome 👍😊 one more thing I want to know at the beginning you have mentioned have to reduce 1-1" from all parts of your body does it mean have to make pattern by reduction 1inch from chest, waist measurement? I am really beginner in stitching so I am finding difficulties to understand.. hope you understand.. please do reply
my dear thank you so much. the spaces inbetween can be about a quater of an inch, it may sound small but it gives a good result. the the 1 inch reduction is fron bust, waist and hip and thats if you are using a very strechy, in other ro maintain nice fiting. enjoy dear...
Hey Ella great tutorial. Is it possible to make this with a non stretchy fabric like Ankara? If yes, there won't be any reduction in measurement right? Also, will seam allowances be added?
Hi dear... such styles are better with drape fabrics so that the effect will be obvious.but u can try Ankara but no reduction in measurements n seam allowance will be added.
Thanks for sharing your tips on this dress but is there a specific amount of space to be opened? As in cm or inches? The spaces that was opened up. Thanks so much.
I'm trying to understand. How much did you use between the spaces? I tried making it but it turned out too big. Was it like a 2 or 3 cms spacing? Please let me know. Thanks much.
Hi Diana...In the video I recommended you reduce each measurements by at least 1inch.. this is because of the nature of fabric used for such styles- stretchy fabrics. For the spacing you can do about 3cm. Also take a fresh measurement of yourself to make sure it same with the pattern you are using.
Thanks so much for the info on the putting together of the dress. I'll try it out on a piece of muslin to see how it comes out. Much love and All the best for the New Year. 💕💕💕💕💕
This is a bit complicated especially the spreading part of the patterns. How do you know how wide to open the brown patterns before joining again the pieces
Thanks for the tutorial it would be helpful when you drew in the slash lines to say how much cm or inch each was also when you layed pattern to redraw you didn't show how much cm inch space between the slash
Hello! She indicated the measurements she used for the slashing in the video, check between frame 1:01 - 2:17. She also replied someone in the comment that she used about 1 inch spreading the slashed lines.

Can you please tell me the name of that paper you are using for forecut?mam🥰
It's called brown paper here in Nigeria, the equivalent will be probably patchmen paper or drawing paper. It's nothing fancy.
Thanks for sharing your tips on this dress but is there a specific amount of space to be opened? As in cm or inches? The spaces that was opened up. Thanks so much.
