Ravus deserved better but at least he got what he begged for while knowing Noctis will be a great king even though we know what really happens during the last part of the final boss fight
Poor Ravus. He had such potential. He never deserved any of this. Not what happened to him, and not how the dev team ended up treating his part in the game.

ravus was a fun boss but i feel bad for him to go through that
