I am a general category student... I scored 535 in this neet exam and one of my ST frnd got 435 and still she is in a better college than me... Both of her parents are doctor and she is way lot richer than me... I cant even call her middle class by her financial status.. Then y do she need this reservation.... I am not againt resevation But they must also keep an creamy layer for sc n st like obc category...
I have the best example the rank in jee to apply for IISC for sc category is 80,000 and for general category it is ......300 😂😂😂😂 i understand reveseration is important but it is just crazy. too crazy 300 and 80,000 are not even meaningful........ You study for 4years get around 300 marks and an sc category student just chills and study for a month or so to get 100 marks. Reservations is biggest obstacle in development of india
I never knew what was my friends cast until AIPMT results when my marks were 498 and I didn't get any seat and his was less then 350 and he got Maulana Azad medical college in Delhi based on his Delhi domicile and sc certificate. He's still very confident of getting a good pg seat because of his reservation. Actually reservation is wat makes me think of somebody as a person of some cast. Unfortunately we live in India.

Even today i dont know over 99% casts, which are lower and which are upper. This reservation should be based on economical situation of a family and not based on a sur-name. Rich lower-cast people keep on getting reservations and the actual Poor lower-cast ones stay poor. Indian's should not forget that at the time of independence in 1947 only 11% of entire indian population was literate, However today Youth(15-24 years age) literacy rate is above 91%. India is widely educated now. Its time we get the brilliant people at the right positions, so that India can become the great nation it deserves to be. I am from backward class myself and I think reservation system has divided Indian community, especially the Hindu community. It was created to divide the Hindu vote bank by Congress. On one hand they give us reservation but I ask you, are the people who get reservation treated the same by others? We are always treated inferior because we did not compete fairly. They are lowering the standard by giving reservation to some. Competition and meritocracy is being sacrificed. If they wanted to help us they would instead give financial scholarships to the poor, and build us good schools so that we can compete fairly with the upper caste. I think time for caste system is past and we need to abolish it altogether.

Reservation was proposed by Dr. Ambedkar for 10-15 years. The main motive behind this was to improve the condition of backward castes in Indian society but now our political parties are using it as a tool for collecting votes. In neet ug 2020 my friend of general category got 607 marks and could not get medical college but in that same exam my sc friend with 540 marks got a good government college ...so is this not a lose of talent
To stop reservation, following possible ways may work: 0: Stop caste surname from every where (But upper caste people would not agree to stop caste system because caste system ensures them for special status) 1. Stop marriage within same caste e.g. brahmins can marry kshatriyas , vaishyas and shoodras only and not with brahmins. Similarly others have to get partners from other castes 2. Ban on caste based matrimonial websites 3. Arrange examination for hiring priests for temples. 4. Promote inter-caste marriages by giving special financial benefits 5. Mothers should be supreme power in the family. 6. People who got married in same caste should not get government job.
Caste system is the tree which bears poisonous fruits like untouchability, discrimination, inter-caste conflicts, reservation in the name of affirmative discriminiation by State. I wonder why people fighting against reservation are not raising concerns to uproot the tree itself. The guy in the movie is hurt if his friend even uses the word "upper caste" but is obviously okay to get a seat on the basis of his caste. In comments, I found some general people who really does not practice caste system, If all generals become like them, then Kal hi reservation nikal dete hai. But I'll tell you one reality.. This navaratri, 2017 One of our caste girl went to see navratri where generals were playing garba, She was thrown out by saying abusive words regarding her caste.. Few generals are very good but most of them are not.. In my college I didn't take the advantage of reservation, But in my Class only 4 students out of 120 were belongs to SC/ST/OBC.. This is the ground reality of reservation..

I just want to say that...there must be some modifications regarding caste system..like in OBCs..they hve creamy n non-creamy layer...in SCs n STs too hve this type of change...n reservation should be for those who struggles for single bread..not for those who live in mansion, bungalows. ..n who can afford evrything they wants...
A parting though - if caste system is to blame then fight for the righteous cause - anti caste system. Do not justify a new problem by teaching eveyone you have to learn to live with Reservations.

The guy in the movie is hurt if his friend even uses the word "upper caste" but is obviously okay to get a seat on the basis of his caste. The reservation system is causing more caste based discrimination than it is there actually by keeping us all aware of this difference. A lot of modifications are needed to make the system more fair.

In my college I didn't take the advantage of reservation,
But in my Class only 4 students out of 120 were belongs to SC/ST/OBC..

This cast system is created the difference between human. Due to this in India every man say I belong to various- various cast no one person say I am an Indian.
So should we take away from this documentary that no matter how long it lasts, Open Category people should suck up to the reservations and see the less deserving students with the same resources get admitted to courses, be promoted on their jobs even if unworthy and untalented.
