That was an informative and good interview. When they talked about not getting handouts like others...who were they referring to? The Wayans? Charlie Murphy??? I have no clue. Do the means outweigh the ends if the result is good and desired? While it's important to be vetted and experienced, I think talent and the ability to learn and innovate are just as valuable. Like babies that start playing the piano like some great composer before they're even born!
I think money, and ego gets in the way of improvement and uplifting others and probably pride and legal stuff. And not really knowing the person too, whether they can be trusted. Or what they are really about. But everyone has to run their own race...it just matters whether someone hands you the baton, or if you reach the finish line. Thanks for posting!

Uber talented former stand ups like me Left the game because we got tired of asking NON funny Bringer show comics for stage time.. The comedy clubs in LA literally let the worst comics book and host shows...because they run around the streets marketing.. Then the true talents have to ask them to get on the show.. And do you think a non funny guy who runs around barking and marketing wants to put me or another funny comic on the show to get all the shine?? NOPE.. and why would they? And that's why comedy is full of average comics.. I became a millionaiire from a job though so thankfully I had an education to fall back on... :)
