You can physically see his anger everytime he racks the bolt, that’s how frustrated he is
lil shoelace bet he looks like your profile pic 😂😂
Joshua probably even angrier
Every time it jams the and he racks the camera shakes 1000% more
Man, you trust your life to a bunch of steel and gunpowder. You do everything right and...shit happens. If I were that man, I would be so very angry.
lil shoelace
And still, armchair generals try to teach him combat lessons..
That 50 might as well be bolt-action.
Oh shut up. Lol :)
exactly what i was thinking. that must be horrible.
If you didnt hear him he said it kept jamming
I know funny
I know right... This can get troops killed. Not the gun, but it's failure to stop those trying to kill him...
I don't know why but that defective weapon is causing me stress.
It's the internet warrior in you.
its called empathy
Not Carbon. It's Head Space, Timing and lubrication.
@CAF Sleepings I think its head space and timing
It's not the weapon, it's neither headspacing nor timing. The belt is under the can mount causing feeding issues, he gets it right at the end of the video and the weapon runs perfectly.
To those bashing this gunner, he was forced to swap vehicles and the M2 was already set for roll out. It wasn’t his weapon or usual vehicle and the original gunner got a good ass chewing for it.
Thanks to explain
🤣 who was it?
Non military dude here. What's rollout?
@Kord Guess dude I love you 😂😂😂
@@MrMarkman12345 just slang for being prepped for combat
here we see the rare bolt action m2 browning.
Owen O'Keeffe lmao this made my day
Technically, it's a lever action :P
Def7355608 it's a joke, actually
So is my calling out of lever action. Both imply that the gun practically operates as a repeating rifle, however, for it to be a bolt action, a bolt would need to be revolved, pulled back, pushed forward and revolved back, in this case however the bolt is moved by actuating an outside lever. Thus, I agree that it is operating as a repeating rifle, however as a lever action, not a bolt action.
hahahaha
Nothing worse than spotting your enemy, yelling out "I've got one", pulling the trigger as you've got it aimed perfectly... and hearing *CLICK*.
I got angry just watching it, ridiculous how much it was jamming. Took 2-3 more tries for it to finally clear/feed.
Ah nevermind, I see you copied this comment literally word for word.. pretty pathetic. Think for yourself

mikemorr100 Agreed. What a POS.
mikemorr100 I never thought it was need manual cycling so many times..geez...like 3 shots and recycle.
what would get me pissed is guys getting all heated and running their mouths.
+Semtex you serious? he's returning fire against a real enemy, I'd like to see you not get "heated" under the same circumstances. I'd have had a lot worse to say to my gunner, had I also not known it was jamming up.
+mikemorr100 ....There is a rotating lever that allows you to keep it going without having to recock it on the spring, he does not have it on, all you have to do is push down the butterfly trigger and let off that way. That or he used CLP and not Miltech as he should have. Iraq were way worse on weapon systems.

i had to buy 4,6 packs
This is how you die, drunk off your ass cause you took a drink every time the gun jammed
You'll end up drunk, broke, or dead. Possibility of all the above... Lol
Glad PBR is cheap.
For everyone wondering... it keeps jamming because it was reloaded the wrong way and the belt wasn’t seated properly... as you can see at 3:20 when the marine goes to reload again, he did it the right way
I'm betting the timing was off.
From what I heard. the dude in the video was forced to move from his previous position to that M2. The gunner before him had the belt mag loaded wrong and the gunner in the video most likely didn't notice it at first due to the situation they were in. Apparently the original gunner got his ass chewed out for not loading it properly.
I would fight that original gunner smh

DODODO jam DODO jam DODODODO jam
So far every comment has failed to realize the biggest reason for the constant jamming aside from a possible dirty weapon. THE BELT WAS SNAGGING ON THE AMMO CRADLE BECAUSE HE HAD IT FEEDING FROM THE WRONG OPENING!!! The ammo had to make anywhere from a 90 to 180 degree turn as it dragged it over the sharp edge of the cradle lid. This slowed down feeding(in turn slowed firing) considerably and half the time prevented the bolt from going fully forward. Notice the fire rate increase AFTER the reload where he had it feeding through the proper opening with the nice contoured curved edge.
Nice observation there.
Not belt drag, but yes to wrong direction. Brownings need to feed with the links in a specific direction, i.e. the side with two openings leading. If the links are put in with the single opening leading this will happen.
Frank Pinelander freeze frame at 2:55 . The trailing link-end was a single. If the belt was truly feeding from the wrong end, he would of been misfiring every two shots like clockwork.
+iroc464 dude you're so full of shit !
+patman0250 what makes you say that? notice how it didn't misfire after the reload. It's not the .50's fault.
I would get pissed if my gun kept getting jammed
2:07 You can just see the frustration in the way he moves, his life on the line and the fucking gun keeps jamming right as he sees a target
If you would get pissed at your gun jamming maybe you should have the link coming out of the can correctly so that it doesn't keep catching the mount and disrupting the feed... unlike this kid did.
AncientBlackOps ` he was pissed he raged
Mama Tachanka
sounded like his captain was upset lmao
It was operator error, I believe. He has the belt running over the latch that mounts the box. He fixes it after he runs out of bullets and installs the new ammo box.
I think I used that 50 in Desert Storm. I wrote it up. Guess the armory didn't get to it yet..

Wait, so you're telling me that you actually have to reload turrets, not just wait for them to cool down? Videos games have lied to me...so much.
But, I need to reload?
Jayui22 its jamming because the timing is off. headspace and timing....
Jayui22 Your absolutely wrong.
Jayui22 Just like 5 Perservance said, you just need to know how to maintain it. And when did I say huge ammounts of dust wouldn't clog up said weapon? I didn't. All I was saying is, it was highly unlikely for the weapon to be malfunctioning due to dust. It would be a bigger factor of the weapon not getting proper treatment, like lubricants.

The rounds weren't feeding correctly. Why else do you think the second belt worked much better? But hey, ayhoo for the armchair general.

You know, you have to feed the link UNDER the mount instead of over it.. Nice theories kids.
Vincent Sluga true but there is a water issue for that many soldiers to shower
All of you people in the comments making all of these theories and pretending you know what's wrong with the gun not realizing that it has nothing to do with the fifty and everything to do with the operator. Look at the can for peat sake. He has the link coming over the mount instead of under it, and the link is catching. He fixes it at the end.
Areus White lel
I see what you're referring to. I know nothing about it but I can see that might hang up like that.
Ohhh. I see. Thanks for writing that,
Care to elaborate? I'm actually really confused and would like to know.
DewIt The first belt is going over the mount latch. When he reloads he puts the belt under the mount latch.
I haven't seen a 50 with timing that bad before, I'm sure head space was way off also.
Dust and extractor bad....
Or just look at the belt dragging on the ammo can you wannabe. Has nothing to do with headspace or timing, the gunner is just an idiot and has it feeding from the wrong opening
What's head space?
@@fieldmarshalbaltimore1329 M2 has head space and timing, so that your not double feeding rounds. The M2 can run extremely fast, and that isn't good. Too slow and it doesn't load the next round. Bad head space and timing sucks, and if your in a firefight it could get you killed.
I see a lot of comments here about this so Il clear it up.
Check the replies to this comment for a clearer explanation. I suck at describing things.
Without any disrespect to the Soldier, he had the 50 Cal loaded incorrectly which was the cause of it jamming so much.
You can see he had the Ammo belt coming out on the left side of the Ammunition Box. This is not the correct way of doing it and as a result the belt was snagging on the metal flap covering the Ammo Box causing the gun to Jam.
If you pay attention, you can notice when hes firing the last few rounds in the first case of ammunition the gun fires a lot faster. He corrects the issue when he reloads the gun and pulls out the belt of ammunition on the right side of the flap going more directly into the chamber and eliminating any snagging and the gun fires a lot faster after he reloads
So because it was traveling aditional distance it caused problems for firing mechanism and that led to jamming of the gun?
P.s. I'm not sure, but at 3:32 it seems to jamm again.
@@comradepierogi It's not the added distance, the feeding system is put under additional resistance trying to pull the bullets effectively 'over' a bump. When he reloads, look at the flap that aids in holding the ammo can, and look at how the belt is feeding out of it. After you see that, go back to anywhere before the reload or last few rounds of the first ammo can, and you can 'spot the difference' of how the belt is exiting the can.
3:30 Gun up, second can.
1:02 Gun "up", first can, 'improper' feeding.
@@roymuerlunos2426 gotcha, thanks for explanation.

on the first can, he was feeding over the can lid instead of under it resulting in binding ammo on the lid...
thanks.... almost didn't see it myself....
MrMus TangMan Sorry for the late question but what was the problem for the jamming.
he was feeding ammo from the left of the can lid instead of the right.... there shouldn't be that much ammo sitting on top.... ammo should come out from the right side of the can....
MrMus TangMan good eye
MrMus TangMan it doesnt matter though

Most of the M2's in my unit's armory were WW2 vintage...I can only imagine that's the case with this weapon too. For all we know this guy's .50 could've been in a B17. It's probably in need of refurbishment, the soldier oiled it not once but twice, and these don't usually fail this bad.
those m2 jam alot when in use man when they are pristine they work fine. but i remember during training our drill sergeants had to continuously spray gun oil on the belt just as it entered the breech to keep ours going during familiarization. tho we shot that thing so long the barrel was white in the evening light.
I never had a problem like this guy has had needs to set the head space and timing.
The timing sounded fine to me.

+scdevon Dust, lack of maintenance and the use of SLAP rounds
+scdevon The belt came from the wrong opening, it should be direct not on top of the box
+Filip Žižak How would SLAP rounds degrade the performance of the gun?
+Filip Žižak What is a SLAP round?
+Chris Walsh Saboted light armor penetrator. Comes with sabots and a high density penetrator in the middle. Usually lighter than the regular rounds. Since it is lighter, recoil is less and operation of the gun can be a failure.
"Put some CLP on it!" It's probably the headspace/timing.. It always is.
What is headspace?
+Hagen en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headspace_%28firearms%29
+sloshy Bro if it was that then it wouldn't even fire. If it's off even a little bit it wont fire. We had that happen during training. They made new 50 cals that don't need head space and timing now. They are the M2A2's. Just swap out the barrel if it gets hot.
+AJCuffs great info! no headspace and timing gauge needed!
it probably was the fact that he was using clp instead of lsa, lol
"Give me a fucking can."
God shines down and hands gunner SLAP rounds.
eeeeeh SLAP aint that great once you found out it damaged your barrel. SLAP ammunition is flawed and it is important to never fire more than 200 rounds of slap. yes highly effective never would use it in a firefight shooting only at infantry....
But what good are they if you cant hit the guy?
Well todays firefight in afghanistan are mostly fought at 200, 300 meters since the Taliban dont really have the balls to get close enough. I cant blame them because if they engage you at 100 meters or are closing in its basicly a suicide mission for them and most of these guys want to stay alive. So basicly its all about fire superiority. 50 Cals and grenade launchers have a way of ending firefights quickly no matter if it hits something or not. Dont matter if ya kill em or not. so long you live to see another day is a good thing.
IIIMAVER1CK Unless of course it was all of the ammo you had left.
That was very intense especially when the M2 was jamming well done and thank you for serving.❤️
The gun was designed in 1918, It had a big bullet and needed a big precise chamber and they didnt have the machine precision we have today and instead of redesigning the gun to be less advanced they decided to just make the headspacing and timing adjustable (and this was done with other early weapons).
The downside to this it has to be done every time the gun is put back together and if its done wrong this could happen or if its done really poorly the gun can even blow up in your face. If everything is set right when its put together its a damn fine weapon and we wouldnt have used it for pretty much an entire century if it wasnt. And in case your thinking it they actually are modernizing them right now to have factory headspacing and timing, a quickchange barrel and other improvements.

Yep, also happens once to me. When you load the belt in the can, you have to check, that the "chains" are lying on the correct side.
If you load the rounds in with the wrong link facing in it won't fire. That's a headspace issue he had. It needs to be checked often on the 50. We did headspace and timing on them before every convoy.
if you look the links comming out the ejection port are clogging it. its no user error or dirty mechanisms.
I can feel his aneurysm half way through the vidoe
Watch and learn - this time, the value of keeping your weapons properly maintained at all times.
Morale is that heavy weapons are there for cover and support, and are tactically critical - always. Now, relocate that soldier's ass before his incompetence gets someone killed.
You sound really cool. I'll bet you are really cool. I wish I was really cool like you are. How did you get to be so cool?
I'll bet you are so cool that you would even thumbs up your own cool comment if your thumb wasn't so far up your ass.
drServitis Pop a tranc-pill, doc. It wont make you cool like me but it WILL make you real docile and sweet.
I thought that was what his job is... to kill people....
William Haney Well, a soldier's job is to ensure that the war is won, or at least keeping the other side from winning it. That, then, is where the killing comes into play.
Edit: oh, yeah - heavy weapons operator. That guy's job is to give a tactical advantage to his own Guys in gaining the winning upper hand, by forcing the other guys to stay low and unable to defend their position effectively.
WormholeJim Again, Mr. Wormhole, before you pass judgment read my comments above. This gun has an internal problem that needs to be addressed by an Armorer, or someone at least on that skill level. Just because "Head Space and Timing" is all most people know, doesn't mean that is the issue if the gun is malfunctioning. I have seen NUMEROUS issues with this weapon system, including the one above, on many occasions. Before you try and bad mouth an operator, make sure you can confidently AND intelligently speak on the situation.
taliban fire 1shot vs 300 0.50 cal bullets :v
Ricardo Galdamez sv Sucks they even got one off.
They still won. 🤣
@Jimmie Impostor ree usa draw it's forces out and accepted it's defeat
@Jimmie Impostor ree who lost millions of mentally damAged soldiers? You guessed it "usa"
@Jimmie Impostor ree guess what still talibans won. And talibans don't care about their life all they care about is victory for the sake of Allah.
Allah hu akber
So a Browning M2 is jamming repeatedly in a video, therefore all M2s must suck?! If it sucked it wouldn't have been in service for nearly 90 years. It's most likely the mount or lack of maintenance that is causing this. You can see the empty links are getting stuck on the mount.
rarely when i got to use and i am 3rd generation my family to use it. would not be surprised if there is a 6th and 7th generation using it
This is why it's important to clean your weapon behind the wire. Shit tends to not work when you don't take care of it
wow this is one ineffective soldier. seems like bad training
nanor
n
I’m so happy my M2 isn’t a bolt action
The answer to all. Put some CLP on it!
God damn. That’s frustrating AF just watching. I can’t imagine this dudes position.
god dam i would not want to be the talibans
kragseven why would you want 72 virgins, I’d rather have 48 experienced women xD
Give this man a medal!!!
Feed issue, nothing more. Head space and timing wouldn't have corrected issue like ammo properly fed (as witnessed in video) into M2 did...
Sean Kelly I think this guy was just nervous, maybe his first time? Idk 🤷🏻♂️
Can't even imagine the pressure. You're the guy with the big gun and your buddise need that fire power and you try shooting only to have it constantly jam like that.
All that jam and no toast or peanut butter but seriously I was angry for this man
With so much training I can’t believe he requested a can after he ran out of rounds.
EXCELLENT at high volume on my surround sound.
+Bo McGillacutty Lol exactly, sounds so fucking good
hehehe, I had to play it three times and I almost never watch anything twice.
You can see the sadness in him every time he racks the M2
Needed to pour some bud light on that can, everything runs smoother with beer.
Yet another thing to add to the laundry list of shit that games get wrong. Man i thought that guy was gonna turf the whole weapon system.
You deffenitly get a sense of his frustration.
Sidney Anderson It's obvious, considering that he is in life-death situation, and his weapon keep jamming.
+Raiko Seria he has not been checking to make sure it's head spaced and cleaned
To all before who have no idea what you are talking about (A few of y'all had good ideas though). This gun is not headspace and timed improperly. It is not jamming because it is dry. And it is not operator error. This weapon has an internal issue, more than likely a cracked firing pin spring, and I give credit to the gunner for keeping his gun up and doing all he could to work the problem. At :50 into the video, you see the gun fail to fire after it was charged. You hear the firing pin go click, however due to what I suspect is a bad spring, the firing pin failed to protrude. Just my 5 dollars worth.
You know you fucked up when the USMC whip out a .50 Cal MG
Silence..... pew pew pew. BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM..... more silence
Pew pew..
GIVE ME THE FUCKIN' CAN!
It's more like BAM BAM *jam* BAM BAM *jam* BAM *jam*
Its war my friend.
Maybe its just me but..can someone tell me if its normal for a M2 .50Cal to jam up so much or isn't that what is happening here everytime the soldier is forced to pull that lever? Looks to me to be very annoying and agravating for the gunner having to pull that lever to free it up/unblock it so many times in the middle of a firefight. Is it a reliability issue, not enough weapon lubricant/grease, or running too hot maybe?
I know I'm late here, but it looks from some other comments like the operator had just switched trucks. The person who was previously on that truck made a mistake while loading the gun, causing feed issues with the ammo. When he reloaded it himself, he did it right so it started firing properly.
He didn’t feed it enough nutrition. Guns can’t live on just lead you know 👌
Tachanka tru tru 💯
Could be a large factor of things but more than likely it is poor head spacing on the gun.. You have to thread and calibrate it correctly during routine maintenance.. Check out head spacing videos..
The ammunition wasn't properly loaded inside the belt of the machine gun, from what I've heard.
