    I've wondered what it would have been like to be the proverbial " fly on the wall" as young David soothed King Saul's troubled mind to sleep with his lyre. Thanks to you, Michael, I'm closer to realizing what that would have been like. Much appreciated. Thank you very much.

      Jesus is the only way the truth and the life. He died on the cross and rose on the third day so that you may be forgiven of your sins. Turn from all sin and follow Him. You will be set free and have everlasting life in Heaven. Repent while you still can!

      @@sunnyladylove5533 Have you even tried reaching out to him? and I'm glad you havent and are blessed to still wake up because when you're dead that's it. You won't be doing any changing of mind but right now you have a chance at reaching out as long as you still have breath you are capable of asking God to reveal himself to you that you're struggling in unbelief that your skeptical and have no idea but you want to know the truth. Everyone does there's no shame in that, and besides you make it sound bad to live with morales and then die since you don't believe in the life after death, but because we love sin we think a clean life hinders our lives instead of making them better for each other. Stuck holding on to something so tightly that is all over in the blink of an eye that you can't see none of this matters if it isn't for loving God and doing good to each other because he commands it so. Is this wrong? To love one another? a self-less love that no matter how you feel about me I love you because Our saviour taught these things to me. I use to think like you and I was so stubborn I would fight against whoever told me different from what I wanted to hear. Now love and spreading that love and spreading the word and who showed me these things is all that matters in a world that's deteriorating infront of all of us.

      Glad you like it! Even although the actual melody was composed by Rabbi Israel Goldfarb in 1918, when played on an evocation of the 10-string Biblical lyre, the original melody takes on a whole different meaning - the ancient musical mode in which the tune was written & the ancient timbre of the lyre, fusing together to become a sort of musical time travel 'magic carpet ride' back to Biblical times...

    I could imagine a restaurant in a busy East Asian city like Beijing, called In the Ruins of Second Temple, where there would be people in dressed in the Greek dress of the time of the Maccabees serving tables and playing the lyre and a flute. The guests would be invited to tables under an artificial darkening starry sky with tables in what looks like a twilight silhouetted Greco-Roman rooftop veranda of a wealthy estate with a view on wall screens of the still modest second temple on top of a nearby hill with the ruins Solomon's temple still surrounding it while eating only the best Mediterranean food, including plenty of lamb. It would be a place to totally unwind after a beyond stressful day at work and the best place to relax and let go of the demons driving the need for ever improving productivity. Once a year get there could be a full Seder Passover meal experience with an optional Last Supper experience for those Christian leaning thus making it the perfect place to not only try but learn new things.

    Modern research into the structure of the Ancient Greek's lyre has discovered that the 'horns' protruding above the top of the instrument were part of a mechanism for varying the pitch of the notes. The Hebrew nation has doubtless always had a fine appreciation of music, at now. I wonder if this Lyre should have this mechanism? It's effect greatly beautifies the quality of the music. I cannot imagine the ancients did not use it.

    Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
    O my soul, you have said to the Lord,
    “You are my Lord,
    My goodness is nothing apart from You.”
    As for the saints who are on the earth,
    “They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.”
    Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god;
    Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer,
    Nor take up their names on my lips.
    O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
    You maintain my lot.
    The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
    Yes, I have a good inheritance.
    I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel;
    My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
    I have set the Lord always before me;
    Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
    Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
    My flesh also will rest in hope.
    For You will not leave my soul in Sheol,
    Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
    You will show me the path of life;
    In Your presence is fullness of joy;
    At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
