I do miss these older Thinkpads. They just had such a form follows function approach and they were durable, easy to service, had a great keyboard, and the display was a very functional aspect ratio for word processing, coding, web browsing, etc. I think it was a 5:4 aspect ratio, which makes it very suitable for retro game emulation
The editing was great. Usually cuts that like with deliberate audio like in cooking videos sometimes bothers me but this time I had no issue with it and it was just enjoyable to watch.
love the editing, its very satisfying. I got the same model back in 2021 for 20 bucks. The seller said it wont boot because of fan error. Took it apart, I believe there are 2 fans. Cleaned the lubricate them. It works like charm ever since. Great machine
Such a beautiful machine, I hate how tech youtuber cheered on companies making everything thinner and cleaner, just give me something functional that looks like it came from a cyberpunk future.

Great video. I have a question I hope you can help me with: I own one of these; I’ve totally stripped it, cleaned it, replaced thermal paste, switched HDD for SSD, undervolted the CPU and ramped up the fans via Fan Control, and it STILL feels quite hot to the touch after a while. Got any pointers? Thanks in advance
The palm rest is what most people complain about when it comes to this laptop getting hot, switch to a half height modern card and it should run cooler, would also suggest letting the thermal paste break in for a bit, temps should drop.
@@shash_wut thanks for your reply. The paste was applied around 4 months ago 😅 part of the problem (I believe) is the lack of proper cooling vents underneath. It can dissipate heat, but the lack of intake vents prevents sucking cooler air to flow in
