    I dont think Anyone is that team to beat anymore. With so much turnover on each team in every transfer season. Its not like Bama or Clemson a few years back. Itll be one off teams for a while till things change. Repeating wont happen not anytime soon.

    • @BoozerBoi
      @BoozerBoi 13 days ago +1

      Especially with the amount of games needed to play now. Too many opportunities for a one off bad game in the playoffs or terrible injury than in the past.

    In any given year the defending champion has a de facto “team to beat” status about them. So, I’ll go with the Hoosiers

    • @braisedin
      @braisedin 14 days ago +1

      Naw they lost a ton, wont be bad but is no where near the team as last year. O line gutted, had to bring in a new qb. Dont think they are one of the top 2 teams in their confrence

    • @Thelegendaryromero
      @Thelegendaryromero 14 days ago +1

      @braisedin What I’m talking about is independent of how the team is projected to perform in the next season. Everybody wants a piece of the school that won it the previous year.

      @braisedinI think someone is drinking haterade. Never doubt Curt Cignetti and his ability to coach up that team. They will be in the mic for a national Title once again.

      @braisedin O line gutted? Wow talk about zero knowledge. They have 4 main guys left and added Brunner from Wisconsin. They will arguably have the best O-line in CFB. What a comical take.

      @Tyler-oh2zy 14 days ago +4

      @braisedin lol IU returned 4 of 5 starters from last year and added a top tier talent to replace the 5th starter. You always have the option of just not talking about things you have 0 idea about.

    The most important thing to consider when talking about Miami is, that they have only been serious and spending real money on football again for about 5 years now. They were spending less on entire coaching staffs than the big schools were spending on just a HC alone. Those days are over. So in 5 years Miami goes from irrelevant to playing for a National Title....

But no mention of the 7th game team on ND's schedual BYU who was kept out of the playoffs by the sec in 2025 and have 90% retention and a Hiesman QB also...So I ask you why and how much are you getting paid to continue putting BYU down...

    Amazing how these national people sleep on Ole Miss. They have the #1 QB, #1 RB, and by far the best kicker. Just get to the 40 and they got points. Plus a much improved defense. Do have a much harder schedule but Trinidad 🇹🇹 with another year and Lacy in the backfield will be awesome to watch.

    Caesar's has ND as the favorite at +600 with OSU at +675. Must have been like chewing dog doo for Pate to admit ND is one of the favorites although he spent much more time on Miami than ND. Miami lost a ton of production. 2/3 of their starters are gone.

      ND's QB is already in Heisman contention, so quit with the homerism. ND's RBs are pretty darned good, too, and the portal was mighty good to ND regarding the DL. ND also picked up two five-star WRs from OSU, and their secondary is going to be ridiculous. It will be a good game, but you need to be realistic about any perceived advantages.

      @rickschilling7390 No, he wasn't. Oregon and Indiana were tied until halfway through the 4th quarter in their first game and Oregon lost 12 guys that were in the rotation in the week before the Indiana game due to injury and the transfer portal. Oregon had to use RB3 and RB5 and then pull some guys off the defense to act as backup RBs. Oregon also lost a big chunk of their 2nd string defense.

    I honestly don't understand why ND is the odds-on favorite to win the natty, makes no sense to me. They'll make the playoffs because they have a cupcake schedule, but they will get destroyed by real teams.

    • @StephenBrudecki
      @StephenBrudecki 7 days ago

      I know. It will be a repeat of when Notre Dame made the 2024 CFP and beat cupcake teams like Indiana, Georgia, and Penn St. Talk about bad teams, those are three of the worst teams ever. And then Notre Dame goes to the national championship and gets absolutely destroyed by OSU. If you don’t believe me just look at how much they were losing to OSU with less than 3mins to play. It was 31-23. Completely annilhated. And look how bad Notre Dame got beat by Miami and Texas A&M in 2025. They got absolutely blown out in those games. And of course Notre Dame’s 2026 schedule is loaded with cupcakes like SMU, Wisconsin, Miami, BYU, and a horrible Navy team that had one of its worst seasons in 2025 and is expected to repeat that horrible season in 2026. And if you need more proof than that, just look at the cupcakes Notre Dame plays in 2027, 2028, and 2029. Awful teams like Texas, BYU, Clemson, Miami, VT, Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Pitt, Arkansas, and Georgia Tech. What a joke. Call me when they play real national powerhouse teams that everyone else plays like Furman, Wofford, The Citadel, Kent St, Grambling, Eastern Illinois, Mercer, and of course the MIGHTY CHATTANOOGA MOCS!!!

    • @bigman7635

      So willfully ignorant. Do you have dementia? Two years ago they literally stomped Indiana and Georgia and beat a very talented Penn State team in the playoffs. People like you are just a waste of brain cells because you hardly ever use them

    Indiana non conference schedule is a joke again. They get Ohio State and USC at home ( 2 toughest games) then at Michigan ( could be tough) and at Washington ( above average team) so atleast Indiana has to put their big boy pants on 3 times ( maybe four if Washington is good) so that’s tougher thsn last season when they had at Oregon ( very tough game) and Michigan ( which had a true freshman Quarterback who was not coached up or ready) Big 10 is so top heavy with more awful teams than very good teams ( Purdue, Rutgers, Northwestern ) awful (Minnesota and Nebraska mediocre at best)

      Tell me about that .430 winning percentage since 1886 or the 3 conference championships you've won since then.

    • @wesleygary6651
      @wesleygary6651 13 days ago +1

      @CokeBoi6969 Either/or. Indiana does not have the depth to repeat what they achieved last year. The Heisman winner is gone, running back, all but one starting wide receiver, the QB coach miracle worker for Mendoza is now in the NFL....as for 'ancient' history well that's obvious. 17 transfers coming to Bloomington? 17? I'll call it FSU north until someone can prove that an entire side of the ball (plus 6 guys in reserve) can win a natty. It didn't work at FSU under Norvell and you can be sure that if Mendoza had a season ending injury in the Big 10 title game Indiana wouldn't have been allowed into the CFP. Everytime some team wins a title out of nowhere their fans always claim it's just the start of sustained success. Everytime. Well it just doesn't turn out that way--and history agrees.

    If an SEC team won you'd automatically put that team as the prohibitive favorite.. giving them grace a saying since they were the champion we need to give them grace and someone has to beat the champ to be the champ... When big ten wins 3 years in a row .. your favorite to win was always SEC or not the same team... You guys are terrible and it's obvious who pays your bills... • @charlesyarbrough2619
      @charlesyarbrough2619 13 days ago

      @Necile2, so you understand how this is gonna work. If ND is ranked 12th. They will knock out the team ranked 10th. The 11th and 12th spot is held, legally by committee and playoff contract, for the hughest group of 5 and highest conference champion. So ND would take a spot from someone ranked higher than them. No, that doesn't make sense. There is no NDDS, it's fairness in the sport. Tell me that TTU and Miami has 8 teams on their schedule that had 8 or more losses last year. ND does.
