Hi Doug , I had the same kit but it was with shell decals and it was a pain to do lol ! Your right about the frame not a match fit to tanker but I got it to look ok . I found that on the wheels I glue them up first and let dry then I can add the tires I do this with my trucks too ! It makes it look a lot better ! Thanks for all your videos they always help keep up the great work !! .....................Howard
@@RightOnReplicas Doug great review of this kit I am going to get this kit to go with my my mack tractor it has the matlack logos I want to build this one I seen it priced at $29.30 at the AAA hobby shop here in New Jersey Keep up the good work
AH, Old decals can be difficult. I often over-spray them with clear lacquer and let them soak in warm water for 3-4 minutes. An applicatioon of setting solution is often needed as well! -Thanks. -Doug
I built the GULF trailer and in my instruction sheet it shows using 6 tank right and left locators 3 top and 3 bottom. and you need to use them . I didn't hear you mention them.
Hi again Doug. i have a request, but its ok if its to much work, but since we all dont use INCHES etc , it doesnt really tell us much. There is easy to use online INCH to CM converters. That would make your videos even more informative. but like i said, its ok anyways. thanks
Leif - You bring up a good point but I'm going to stick with inches for measurement for the time being. I'm most familiar with the system and that helps me avoid mistakes. Since there are easy conversion tools out there for free it will be up to those metric users to make the conversions..Still - thanks for the suggestions! -Doug
I have this trailer in my stash! It'll be a fun one to build. Thanks for the review Doug!
Right on John! -Doug
Nice job. Bought this kit brand new in 1999. Still enjoy it today.

Dan - I found mine at a local hobby shop but they are online at eBay. Just search for "texaco tanker kit" and you'll see several available. -Doug

JJ, The chrome tanker is great too! It's the Pete C/O -Doug
Good looking tank! Although I wonder if front fenders were required in the 70's...
KM, Required or not they sometimes came with the tanker. PS - please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
I have the tanker but had trouble with the decals they didn't come off the sheet and wound ruining the decals. Beautiful tanker by Amt

Roger Wachal there were no support mounts.
RW, On this kit there were no location mount supports. All you do is glue the tank together.! -Doug
