My story is kind of similar, i grew interest in defence very recently and after filling up the form , i actually started preparing for it. In my case as well, I've got a strong base in English, i can say this after scoring a 100 in my ICSE English paper( 2). I had filled up the form for NDA and after solving the pyq's I was scoring around 170-180/200 which was a good score. There on, i started with the prep of the other subjects without having any coaching or guidance or self-help books. I was lost and clueless. I had around three months time On 1st sept- I gave the first paper(mathematics) and I messed it up (no idea/300) Gave the second paper(GAT)- went well and I scored around (270/400) I knew the probability of me clearing this out was very less and yet I kept manifesting. Results came out and..nhi hua. I accept my defeat because I know I havent put in enough effort and there are much more deserving people who worked hard 24 hrs a day for the past 6 months or more. I'll have my second and last attempt in April (opting for an online coaching this time) . I am writing this entire paragraph in here so that the next time my results come out , I'll return to give you all a good news. Till then, keep working hard and make your parents proud.

For the same topic, I have seen other channels as well where people kinda mislead us as most of their attention is given to GS part only. But my friend, reality is totally opposite! Believe it or not, English is the only key 🗝️ that can help you to crack this exam as major part of the cutoff is totally depend upon English only.
2 month's is for polishing the skills anotherwise upsc CDS preparation takeb 8-9 months easily There are so many people out there who puts a lot of hardwork and still can't get into IMA cutoff Note: only 7k people crack the exams out of 5-6 lakh candidates

YES, there is nothing wrong in being bilingual or multi, infact people should learn atleastttt two. Highly recommended. Till the time we keep our local lang at priority , we are on right track. Hopefully in future we prioritise Hindi or local languages much as English, just like people out there do.... more like they are super successful without Engllish or foreign lang as well. Till then we gotta get our hands on English. Little by little, lets get our lang back , prefer to greet strangers in ur local lang, dont let it vanish. cutoff those people who look down on u for speaking ur lang fluently instead of eng. be with people who respect both lang and prefer to use both and be fluent in both.

@tanishtha-dj1wu just because someone is earning twice in private doesn't mean they have worklife balance, yes my salary was 26lpa, but there was too much workload, sometimes i have to stay all night just to finish a project, I got promoted 5 months before I left, but so did the workload, and many of my friends have already left jobs , few of them are aso in mea, 2 of them are incometax officers, I consulted then and left my job with my own will
