7:00 I made the Nexus to allow the stalkers to kill as many marines as they could. The Nexus causes a attack issue to the units not in range of my stalkers. The big daddy tank came and party was over.
I always wonder why i don't see pylon on opponent base locations to block them. Later in the game the army kills it quickly but earlier in the game you have to pull workers to get rid of it and loose mining time.

@@karyjas1 Because it is fun to watch and you actually need to put in effort and creativity to create these strategies? why are you hating? Is not like he is using hacks to win or anything
@@1tan269 I guess that when i tried to play this game i only got cheesed and this looks like an extremely cheesy strategy. The thing that i like here is the macro part and the non cheesy strategies and mind games. That is why i hated this.
This is really a 500IQ play. He knew he took a lot of loss with proxy nexus and knowing that the counter attack will likely kill him, he expanded on the top left to prepare for the base trade scenario. He purposefully left the probe on the map to scout when the terran army is moving out, left pylon on third to know if terran is going into macro game, and all this was thought-out. It's amazing and fucking disgusting and this is the sort of sin only the pope can forgive.
The most genius move here was that he was planning to sacrifice his main right from the very beginning. He knew that the Terran would move out eventually and then he would just counter attack and cripple his opponent. Brilliant!!
This was so fun to watch! When I saw that pylon at the expansion, I laughed XD I just imagined the Terran going "Thank GOD that's over..." *Floats base to expansion* "WTF?! Come on!!!" XD
I like watching these wild strategies because it makes you consider the most basic principles of the game. For example, basic scouting and better macro would have saved the terran player.
This would probably not work in silver league, though. We silver league terrans are so used to cannon rushes and cheesy protoss that we close our main before a probe can even reach and go into it, xD.
The hero that pioneered the Probius rush and the aggressive recall strat does it again. If I were you, I would go back and watch Winter take lessons from Florencio's science school, just so you can lear how to actually play protoss.
You're talking about how the Protoss lost more but you aren't accounting for mining and production time lost, which skews it heavily into the Protoss' favour surely?
I had the same thought. In addition, Florencio had a 10+ worker advantage for a good chunk of that cheese. By the time the cheese was cleaned up, he was still easily ahead in economy. It might not have traded well in value lost vs value killed, but a lot of what was killed were 50 mineral SCVs that were never going to mine again.
After a cheese like this, I think in addition to the units lost tab, also look at the income advantage tab. Since toss had an expansion, even though they lost 500 more resources, they had probably mined >500 more resources, making it a net win. And yes, this game was awesome, more please!
This was fun to watch... but if you know what recall does, then a bunker would have been great. I think it would have shut it down. Either way i love Pro Cheese.
i was in work when i see this pop up proxy nexus cheese. I had to stop work just to check this out my boss is not happy with me but it was well worth it lol
I've seen a Chinese streamer using a similar strategy before, and he named this “共同富裕”, which is “mine your opponent's mine”. He builds only zealots and later recalls mosts of the probes and all the zealots to shut down the opponent's economy. Quite insane as well :D
The pylon paid for itself almost immediately, because the whole gosh darned army came out. Then it just sat there and saw two stalkers. The army was now not in place to defend against oracles in his main... So this could work out REALLY WELL if there was only one stargate and a oracle for example. You can see the mine with the stalkers, he has his stuff away from where you'd send your oracle... It's just an observation but that was my immediate idea of why that was done. Then Florencio decided to go for void rays, and that seemed to work better than it had any right to.
Im curious how many minerals were lost in mining time there, as those SCVs spent a very long time not mining and he lost a lot of them. By the time the shield batteries died, I wonder how many hundreds of minerals Red mined more than Blue.
I saw Beastyqt do this earlier a few times. if I remember correctly once he made all in and recalled zealots and probes, he didn't have to spend resources to build cyber core, assimilator and extra drones so he had 6 zealots when the nexus was finished.
Terran was trying to find the ninja base by using the multiple scans and didn't find anything. Maybe if he watches the replay, he will facepalming very hard.
I was just watching Florencio deal with a bunker near the Nexus with double gateway in the enemy's natural baiting out the marines to deal with it then recalling in six zealots.
i feel like a great follow up to this would have been to produce an extra probe with the proxy nexus and start cannon rushing the base. there was a point where protoss was floating 1k minerals, and wasnt really producing any units, and focusing on controlling the adpets and stalkers in the enemy base. if batteries and cannons were being produced in the base while he was controlling his units it would have been a gg way faster.
That is a different follow up. As well you recall one probe with adepts make pylons and battery shields make more stalkers so recall in when cool down finishes.
Once watched a Halo wars video called cutter tank rush. Thought it was okay till I learned how RTS actually works from watching you and a few others, now I think the guy is incompetent. So I attempted my own tank rush, and it only took me 3:10 compared to his 11:45. I'm curious if you might attempt to play it and review it. How could it be improved upon? Seeing as how you play and cast alot of RTS, I thought it might be interesting to hear your thoughts on what makes a good RTS vs a great one.

Yea. Probe recall is a legit florencio strategy.
So glad you cast Florencio! It is so fun to watch
Tip about casting Florencio - his natural is not next to his main base, no matter the map.
His natural is in the corner.
"Sewer mermaid" I legit laughed out loud.
