Well, I guess if you have a crash like that, it can go one of two ways:
You either hop back in the saddle immediately and carry on - or you say to yourself „I had a good run, but I’d rather step aside and not press my luck any further“ - and walk away from racing for good. Both are decisions that I can respect.

I truly believed that the catch fence had done its job, but of course I was concerned that fans in that area had been hit by debris. It wasn't until that first hit when Dillon was upside-down on the track that I started thinking that he was badly hurt.

I'm glad that car landed wheels first on the catch fence . They should maybe find a mesh to put on the outside of that fence . Right now it stops cars but with a tremendous amount of force then slices the car like wood chipper .

the good thing with the number 2 car is the fact that it hit sideways and not with his engine, probs took away a lot of the hit goin at it sideways

Turn 4 of Daytona is more serious than a heart attack. Every race, someone’s life is altered forever on turn 4.

I remember this race it was raining and they went well over midnight on the last run , very stupid decision on Nascar ,.. l woke up just before the finish and seen the crash , l thought l had just seen another #3 Racer die . He is lucky he hit the catch fence on the bottom side .
